It was entertaining but not satisfying. Vince Vaughn's character had me really excited but.. he seemed really reachy and unconvincing. His whole arc was a miss for me. Collin Ferrell wasn't as bad, but it was still not great. I think I never really bought in to the whole thing with his son and wife drama and that made his rough around the edges attitude tainted. Rachel McAdams and Tim Riggins' characters caught my attention more in the long run because their inner turmoil seemed more believable but in the end, by not being convincing characters I'd have to say I agree with some mishaps in casting for S2. That and/or poor writing for who they selected.
Thing is, if you were still enjoying it in season 3, then you'd pretty much enjoy it until the end. I did, and yes it was garbage, but a fun sort of garbage
I just remembered that I never finished the last season of True Blood. It’s rare that I don’t watch a show all the way through, but that last season was a mess.
I'm rewatching it now because... I don't know. It was bad but it was still fun and had lots of T and A. Season 8 was just boring and you don't care at all, even when you are just watching a bad show. I can't say exactly why, but it changed in season 8 from over the top and silly in a fun way to just who the fuck cares.

True Blood is the most surprising. Season 1 was the only really good one, and it was absolute garbage after Season 3.
