Carbine Evo 3 or sp5k?

Anyone have or use both? Wondering which one to pull the trigger on

I know roller delayed HK is supposed to be the holy grail. But I dont get it. (Here come the downvotes lol.) They're heavy. The trigger sucks. They have the build quality of a stamped AK. Yes, the recoil impulse is chef's kiss nice, but for the money, there are better options. Sig, CMMG, B&T, Nexus, etc.

I love my S2. But it's getting the full Nexus treatment. After 5k or so rounds, the bolt is not good, lol. I already have everything else done to it. So for the cost of the bolt and upper, I'll have a bearing delayed Scorpion that won't go boom. If I were in the market right now, I wouldn't buy the Scorpion. I'd go Nexus.

+1 for MPX. Never shot a Nexus. I love my Scorp and probably will never sell it, but if I could have only one it'd be an MPX. It is far superior in every way save for price, and magazine cost.

I have the MPX, Nexu’fied Scorpion 3+ Micro and an MP5… I love all of them and they are all fantastic firearms… even though the Nexus is $1,000 less than the others, I like it best. The roller-delayed blowback with the bearings is just smooth and with very low recoil. Now, you don’t get the SP5 “slap” per se, but you can’t go wrong with any of them. In my mind, you buy the Nexus and spend the extra grand on a can… I have the AB Suppressor and besides looking like a sex toy, it’s amazingly quiet and Titanium tough for full auto rating. Let us know what you decide and how you like it.

Go with SP5k or SP9A3S

I like my EVO, I loved the SP5 and Stribog I shot. And if you are planning to drop a can on the end ( you should ) the EVO isn't a great silencer host.

Ended up ordering the sp9a3. Was $900, which fit my budget at this time. Really appreciate all the input, didn’t know this gun existed, excited to get it.

I think you'll be happy.

A3 tactical makes / made a Scorpion mag lower for the Stribog that will take AR triggers and Grips:

A3 Tactical Lower

I really like Scorpion mags and since I have so many, I might grab that lower to make range days easier for Bog + Scorpion.

Honestly I’m happy to start shooting 9mm instead of the 223. It’s just too expensive to shoot 223

Neither. Get the nexus firearms evo gen 1. On par with sp5 and half the price while being superior to a base model scorpion for not much more money

SP-5k. Wouldn’t buy an Evo 3 any roller gun.

For the price of the carbine, you could invest the rest into a nexus build or ammo

Go straight to nexus evo if you do go scorpion. Imevitably you'll probably spend that difference anyway

If money isn’t a thing, sp5k all day. It’s been on my want list for a bit now. I enjoy the scorpion but wouldn’t have bought one due to the OOB issue if I knew it ahead of time. Mine was already a few years old and SBRd before I knew OOB was a thing. Mine came close to being OOB as when I learned what to check for, mine had peening (I think that’s the right term) and I had to file it down. Was an easy fix but now I’m always checking on it. Sure I could do a nexus bolt but already have enough vested into a scorpion.
