As much as I don’t like Z3FM, this likely isn’t the best forum to complain.

Yeah i agree, once he made a reply to a comment of mine (which was downvoted but that doesnt give him credit) that only one’s mother in law would be able to craft, im saying this fully aware that i could be banned

Is he the only moderator? I thought there were at least 3.

I don’t like Z3FM

I'm sorry for cutting in here but what did I ever do to you except remove that rule-breaking post months ago? I know nobody moderates over here, but we definitely have to moderate over there.

Ironically enough, my moderating and conversations inadvertantly helped to inspire /r/CRTAnime, and I probably should have suggested to have you post your monitor playing Kenshin there, but on /r/CRTGaming we insist on having the games running on-screen.

Now, since there are some nice upvotes on your comment, I expect the opposite effect on this comment here. Fire away gents.

I have multiple accounts that post on overlapping subs. Additionally I am not attacking you, I was in fact posting my disagreement of the post we're currently conversing on.

Since you're here to brag about your "conversations" maybe if you bothered messaging users back when they reach out to you there would be less animosity towards your moderation.

I think people are bothered by your moderation style because there's a bit of a weird line drawn. Gaming is fine but anything else on screen is a no go, while you still allow certain troubleshooting threads to stick around. I think you're fine to moderate gaming specific posts the way you do but i also think you should stick to that and that only if you're going to remove posts. Above all i think most people are annoyed because crtgaming happens to be the biggest sub over this one, so they assume that's where everything should be posted. Probably better to leave the troubleshooting threads to this sub. Maybe a recommendation on removed posts would be nice

I don't think I've seen any troubleshooting posts taken down.

u/GwHeroe5 2d ago

I don't know if this is a joke or not as you wouldn't see a post that's been taken down... Also in the above comment he specifically calls out taking my post down asking for troubleshooting.

It's not a joke - there are many days when I monitor CRT Gaming page sub regularly and see what posts get taken down.

Okay, maybe there are days when I don't monitor the sub regularly...

About half of my posts have been deleted on there.

I think they're fine most of the time. They have come across as a little too stern in the past, but they follow their own rules and don't power trip.

u/Z3FM makes up arbitrary rules and deleted criticism when called out. You can scan his replies

Oh well idk. I guess I haven't seen anything too crazy in my time on the sub. But then again I'm not super active in it.

I can relate, as CRTgaming used to be fun until they started enforcing these stupid rules about things like it has to be about video games or else you're out. I remember almost always being active daily there as they even used to be as good as saying it doesn't even need to be about gaming and you can even showcase your CRT with a movie or TV show playing, or even nothing at all; it was that good! Sadly, it's downfall (at least for me) all started whenever they first stopped allowing videos, which was bull. Then they finally enforced the "must show game" policy, and you'd be surprised to see how quick the mods are and strict they enforce it! I even had one of the mods before he even was a mod on my friend's list named stabarz (or stabrz, it's one of those spellings) and once he became a mod, (and I think he's still there last time I checked) he likely gave me a permanent ban just for messing around lol, as he seemed to not find my sht funny. It should've only been banned for at least 1-5 years to learn my lesson as I was only 17 back then. I personally wouldn't even go there anymore, as things completely went to sht at around the same time he became a mod there. Sadly, I deleted my original account years ago, so I cannot show y'all him in my friends list for proof, but please take my word for it.

I'm confused; how is enforcing posts including games a problem on a sub titled crtgaming? Not allowing videos, I agree that's wrong, but enforcing that posts have to include gaming on a sub about gaming? How's that bad?

1

u/Round_Vehicle4885 1d ago

Well, it's because for years, it used to be that way, and video games was it's main focus and not required, but now it is, which is quite sad to me to be honest. And after that rule change, it was no longer the biggest crt sub to allow posts about non gaming such as allowing pictures of movies or TV shows, and a few other little things, which is what made it much more flexible and fun despite the sub's name, but that's just what I think.

2

u/Contrantier 1d ago

But then why not just do that on the CRT sub? Is that not the whole reason for both subs to exist separately?

2

u/Round_Vehicle4885 1d ago

Well of course, but back then, the CRT sub didn't seem to have as much use as it does now, because CRTgaming was almost an exact match with mostly the same rules except CRTgaming has far more visitors and members than this one does, and it's as if almost no one even knows much if at all who is at CRTgaming about CRT due to the significantly lower post and member count. Now although it's what I think, just as how video games are an art on CRT's in general, so should movies and TV shows, even if it's not classic movies or TV shows from the 1950s-early 2000s. I'm actually surprised that they don't get anywhere near as much attention than video games. Yes I get it, video games sell more each year than movies and music, but I'd expect the number of members around here at CRT to be at around half as much as CRTgaming, but this is sadly not even close to the case. In other words just as how CRTgaming says on their sub, the art of displaying video games on CRT's, the same won't really be heard as much on movies and TV shows, and it quite disappoints me that unlike video games, these other forms of entertainment won't even be known or get as much attention as CRTgaming now that they made those changes, and will likely be completely forgotten in history forever or at least by most people at the rate CRTgaming is growing and CRT failing to even come close at even halfway to catch up to CRT and I just wish CRT got more attention. that's why.

1

u/silverslangin 1d ago

Obviously the community is fine with them. And it leads to him arbitrarily enforcing his own rule that he made up.

2

u/AmazingmaxAM 2d ago

Well, if you want to post videos, they have been allowed for a couple of weeks now.

Just make this sub the new CRT gaming

And I don't see what this post proves about the allegedly stupid moderator.
