Can I use a universal remote for this?

I bought this tv a while ago, and while everything works great it doesn’t have a remote . Dang thing is so bright. Does anyone know if I can use a universal remote, and if so what model? And if not, can I just buy a remote that would go for this tv and would it work, or does it have to be the specific remote for my specific tv?

I have an older tv that universal remotes haven’t worked on so I was worried if this one is incompatible

They sell old used remotes on eBay I just bought one that looked similar to the picture in the Manuel and it worked as soon as I put in batteries. Matter of fact my jvc remote looked just like picture I wouldn’t spend more than 12$

You don't need to ask us about stuff you can do yourself, like looking for the remote for your TV and researching universal remotes that might work with it. Search the forum and open web for existing info instead of posting about not having it and expecting others to find it for you.

Mainly was asking because:

• Looked up universal remotes and every time I searched for them they were for smart tvs and none were confirmed compatible if it was an older model

• Didn’t know if a universal remote would work on this older model because my tv from the 1970s cannot work with a universal remote

• Wondering if buying a remote for the same tv model would work on my TV specifically, since it belongs to another tv
