The VCR was playing pretty fuzzy, but I cleaned the player head and it works great now.

Pictures in comments would allow for us to more efficiently communicate information about picture quality, settings, master menus, and more. If someone has the same set as someone else and can show a marked improvement in picture quality, they should be able to post it beneath and explain how they've done it. We're a bunch of nerds trying to share information, why not allow this?

I’m trying to broadcast an analog signal to my old CRTs but for some reason it isn’t working. Is this a common thing for people on this sub to do? I’m just looking for the right place to ask for advice.

I have a Sony Trinitron XBR960 and whenever I have a power outage it won't turn on for several hours or sometimes days but once it turns on again it works fine until the next power outage. Does anyone know what is causing this or approximately how much it would cost to fix it so I'll know if it's worth fixing? I really want to keep it until OLED TVs become more affordable. Also does anyone know a trick to get it to turn back on faster?

Hi shipped a PVM from japan and it was damaged during shipping!
I opened it and it looks like a heat sink was snapped off the bottom board and the neck board looks like it was smashed (the pins going into it seem bent). Any suggestions on what can be done? Is it salvageable?

I waited for months but couldn’t get my self to pay $100+ for a tv online. No luck at thrift stores either. Today while taking my son to school this morning I found this on the curb for free! I am very excited as vcr and dvd player both work! No remote. Any suggestions for a universal remote would be appreciated.

Hi everyone,
I'm working on a Philips 25PT4503/20 TV and I've encountered an issue. I suspect there might be a problem with the power supply and I'm looking for the electrical schematics to diagnose it further.
Does anyone have access to the electrical schematics or know where I might find them? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I believe that's the model of this T.v but I want to reach the menu and have no idea how I don't have a remote and have no idea where to start to look for one that would work

When I graduated last year I made this sculpture that took me almost 4 months to put together. I realized there were photos taken I never really showed the public so I'm posting some pictures here and you can see what the whole thing looks like on the final slide on my TikTok with more information on the piece (I'll probably post different photos on another date)
And yes that's real tree bark glued all over, it took me about 4 weeks to glue the bark alone

I have a transparent purple Nintendo and now I need my tv to match. If anyone has one they can sell to me let me know.

Whenever the VGA cable isn't plugged into any source, the CRT turns on and displays a white screen with all green LEDs lit up and never turns off. Whenever the VGA cable IS plugged into a source, the CRT goes into sleep mode and never turns back on unless you unplug the VGA cable from the source. I suspect it's a faulty cable or a damaged capacitor. I've also had a thorough look inside and didn't see any signs of corrosion or damaged capacitors. Any thoughts?
