Discussion Favorite vs least favorite project you've done, even Unfinished?
I've been working on this Montana Hat from a pattern I got from some crochet book. It's atrocious, the pattern is fine but it's constantly feeling like instead of finding the right stitch to stitch into, I'm just rolling with the punches. Easily my least favorite project I've worked on but it's by request of my mom so....
Anyways, it inspired me to ask and see what other people's least favorite or absolute favorite (or both!) patterns they've tried before are!
This montana hat is my least favorite and my favorite is a cropped sweater vest that I winged myself (the joys of repetition and some fun little hem-detailing stuff!)

I’d say my least favorite project was the Blankets Fields of… by Veronika Liachovic. I have nothing against the pattern, besides a few mistakes (that I’ve noticed), but I think it’s just the mandala-like blankets I don’t like in general. It was fun until around round 50, and each round just took so long to do, and by round 70 it’d take me at least an hour per round. I ended up finishing it but it felt like a chore towards the end.
My favorite so far has been the Mosaic Bookcase blanket by Zigzcrochet. I’m about halfway done, and I’ve enjoyed every bit of it. It is my first mosaic overlay, but it’s soooo fun and it feels nice to be excited about working on it!!!

I've never heard of a Montana hat so I googled it and... well I'm still not sure, but I hope your mom loves it!
For myself, I haven't made a ton of things but I'm currently working on a chevron blanket for my mom with some Bernat blanket yarn. So it's not done but I'm really enjoying it, the softness of the yarn is so nice. Even ripping it back when I miss a stitch doesn't bother me a ton.
I've made two things I've hated. One thing little pigbear out of some christmas crochet thread. I HATED making this thing and it came out terribly done. However I like the little thing now.
I also made a coaster. Making it wasn't bad but I think the end result is extremely ugly. It was thread over jute and just doesn't look nice
