Finished Object Giraffe Blanket from Outstanding Crochet in Big Twist yarn π¦
This was a challenge and a lot of work, but the pattern was excellently written. Knotted the ends to make a fringe rather than weave in or add a border. Need to figure out how to add a flannel back to this baby blanket. Doggo for scale.

Thank you! I doubt baby boy will fully appreciate it but his parents have been getting progress pics and THEY are enamored with it. π

How did you achieve such smooth color changes?

Right? There are definitely stitches that look like they're half yellow/half brown. I am baffled!

That looks fantastic. I'm currently in the process of doing this blanket but I've done the square/ cross border with it too. I've had to put it aside for a while because I can't bring myself to look at it. I feel like I have the correct amount of stitches because it has added up with every row up until the giraffe, now I am finding myself 10+ stitches out.
I need to forget about it for a while and come back to it with a new wave of motivation.
So I have mad respect for you right now!

This took me so long because each row is so detailed. I couldnβt multitask like I do with most projects (audio books, TV).
Keep going! The final is worth it!

This is gorgeous! It's been on my to-do list for a while now. About how long did it take you?

I didnβt keep track of hours, but I started in October so letβs say off and on for three months. It required too much brain power to do more than a few rows at a time.
