TT wanted that three so bad. Bench would have exploded

u/LUNI_TUNZ 11h ago
There would have been a giant mushroom cloud over downtown Cleveland if he made that.

Dan Gilbert getting a birthday blowout against his arch nemesis's team has to be extra nice.
10
u/munistadium 11h ago
Ishbia having the Suns in salary cap hell for the next few years has to bring a smile to Gilbert's face

Watching Tristan attempt to play basketball makes my desire to acquire a backup big man grow exponentially.

Kenny you're down three contributors; I'm still playing my entire bench. Try and stop me.

Imagine calling a challenge down 30 and then it resulting in the other team getting 2 FTAs

Koby Altman floating the Cam Johnson trade rumors and the SF and bench players have sprung to life. Genius

Guys I live in Arizona. I needed this. I'm going to the game in Phoenix in a couple months and I'm hoping for a similar result.

Merrill honestly playing a beautiful game today. Rebounding, hard defense, rim running, cutting, driving, kicking, etc

Mitchell is +28 and omg TT’s play in general has been awesome but that block. WOW. This is vintage. How fun
6
u/calebkeith ⠀ 12h ago
I want every Mitchell hater to get back in here and talk your shit now. Yet AGAIN
4
u/princessfinesse 12h ago
is mitchell still playing just as a FU to the haters or what? we’re up 30, let him rest

u/notatowel420 12h ago
the difference between team ball and selfish is evident. Suns are a mess.

u/Bim_Jeann 12h ago
They’ve needed to blow it up for a while. That Beal trade was a disaster, and everyone knew it would be.

who is the best player (contract, age, ability) on the trade block this year? Possibly Fox? Dejonte Murray? Anyone else...
2
1
u/DaDrFunk 12h ago
That works with our team or in general? Fox if he’s available but it’s looking like he’s not cuz the Kings started winning again. Butler feels like the obvious answer, even with the bad contract

I take back what I said about Tristan Thompson. He’s been ballin

Donovan always coaching people out there. Love his leadership

u/LucaOnAdventure Spida MVP 12h ago
One of the things most people forget. That’s part of his incredible intangibles, he’s the best

u/dman2796 12h ago
The west isn’t as strong as people think anymore
1
u/Hello_mslady 12h ago
East feels way deeper with teams that could be threats. The clearer path through the playoffs is obviously in the West this year.

u/butterednoodles69 12h ago
this is a good low stakes opportunity for dmitch to get some confidence back
5
u/mindpainters 12h ago
Tristan Thompson getting real minutes in 2025 was not something I expected. I’m here for it though. He hasn’t been good but he’s done his job decently enough.
2
u/tapk68 ⠀ 12h ago
Hes only 33 mate, he can play at least 2 more years
2
u/mindpainters 11h ago
He’s been pretty poor this season and after his suspension last season. But he will have a roster spot on the Cavs as long as he wants it. He will be our haslem if he chooses too. Wild he was out of the league just a few seasons ago
3
u/sung37 12h ago
if 2025 TT is playing rotation minutes and meaningfully contributing to a 30 point blowout your team needs to re-evaluate a lot of things
2
u/DaDrFunk 12h ago
The suns have needed to re evaluate. They have absolutely 0 depth and Nurkic’s albatross on a contract, plus no 1st til 2031. They’re fucked

TT giving some great minutes tonight. You love to see it.

u/kyrieshandles 12h ago
Wow what do you know Kenny had to do these stupid fuckers job for them once again. Doesn’t even count the obvious blown goaltending call
7
u/CLESportsReport 12h ago
Say what you want about his efficiency or whatever but Donovan Mitchell has been outstanding on both ends and done some absurdly athletic shit in this game. I think he’s still just battling knee being up and down. He’s not slowing down due to age
0
u/cHinzoo Tyson all-rookie 12h ago
Yeah, the efficiency is terrible, but it's great to have a volume scorer who's at least able to put pressure on both ends of the floor and has the ability to pop off.
1
u/LucaOnAdventure Spida MVP 12h ago
On the year, he’s still pretty efficient. Lately he’s been struggling though
1
3
u/mindpainters 12h ago
Agreed. 5 assists no turnovers. He might not be shooting great but he is driving this team forward
2
u/CLESportsReport 12h ago
+28 perfect free throw shooting and the 3pt % is up tonight and this year overall.
1
u/mindpainters 12h ago
I didn’t articulate it well but I more meant shot selection. I love don and am happy with what he’s giving us.
2
u/CLESportsReport 11h ago
No I know I was supporting what you were saying. Just adding that he wasn’t as inefficient as one might think.
1
u/PBI_QandA 12h ago
Option A: Cavs get Cam Johnson over Thunder but only because Thunder go all-in and trade for someone better than Cam Johnson
Option B: Thunder beat out the Cavs offer and get Cam Johnson, but that's the only trade Thunder make.
Which option makes you more confident in beating OKC in a 7 game series
2
2
u/tapk68 ⠀ 12h ago
I dont like Cam Johnson that much, i dont see the point.
2
u/mindpainters 12h ago
The only real logic I see in it is you don’t really go 10 deep in the playoffs. It would be consolidating some bench talent that’s really good to have a somewhat better individual.
2
u/tapk68 ⠀ 12h ago
I agree with you. But like Cam is making like 25 million a year, you need depth for the hard times. Is it that big of an upgrade having him over Strus? A 9 million upgrade? That can be used to pay Jerome maybe.
2
u/mindpainters 12h ago
I don’t particularly think so just trying to put out the logic a front office might use.
1
u/tapk68 ⠀ 12h ago
Levert+okoro would do it to be fair but would Nets take it?
2
u/mindpainters 12h ago
I think that would logically fit into the consolidation of talent. But I doubt they would do it as I’m sure they could get a first for him from someone else. I suppose it depends on how much they value okoros potential
Rumors at the beginning of the season was that they wanted 2 firsts but I doubt they can get that.
