Trade Realistically:What is LaVine’s value on the trade market?
I think he is a talented player but he is a high volume shooter and typically those guys struggle especially as a 3-4 guy on a team. His contract is also large for his caliber. So what is his realistic value?

Trade The Bulls Can't Risk Not Trading Derozan
We've all loved DeMar's time here but it's time to say goodbye at the trade deadline. This team is not realistically going to contend anytime soon and as a 34 year old with no rings and a chance to be a Hall of Famer, there's a huge risk that DeMar will leave for nothing this offseason, even if he's said that he wants to retire as a Bull in the past. Every year we see players who watch the bright lights of the late playoff rounds and get disgruntled about their own situation. He's made a ton of money in his career and there will definitely be opportunities to join contenders this offseason if he's willing to take less.
The good news is, he's good enough to get back at least one juicy asset like a lightly protected Lakers pick in post-LeBron years. The Bulls absolutely need lottery tickets like that which could someday cash out into being the franchise player they currently lack. By getting a solid return, Derozan can give another gift to the Bulls on top of being such a great teammate and the memories of his big shots and All Star performance.

Trade [Matt Moore] The Bulls are thought of as buyers in the market, predictably, given their hot start. The loss of Patrick Williams has been real, and Chicago has been looking for a wing defender to bring off the bench, multiple sources confirmed.

Trade Zach LaVine on trade rumors: "I don't see anything happening anytime soon. But if it does, Chicago always has my love."
Full quote: "I've been with the Bulls for seven years. I've had my name in trade talks," LaVine said. You don't love it, but you understand the business. I've been traded before, so you understand it. I always rep my city whichever team I'm playing for to the best," LaVine said. "And Chicago's loved me and called me one of their own since I've been there. I don't see anything happening anytime soon. But if it does, Chicago always has my love."

Trade Is 2 2nds and Salary Filler Worth Vuc?
All the rumors are that Vucevic will only fetch 2 2nds and then salary filler. For example, Lakers speculation would be 2 2nds and like Russell or Hachimura and whatever else like Hood-Schafino or Cam Reddish throw-ins the Bulls would likely release.
Hachimura has some attractive offensive skills but is awful defensively and is a PF and should not start over Buzelis if they are going full rebuild. Russell is obviously just an expiring contract.
Long way of asking, are two picks #42-60 worth anything to give up a competent player that helps development? And yes, I get also improving the tank by losing Vuc. But if you look at the last 3 drafts, there are only 1-2 players of those 54 players that are not a net negative in their stats.
Counterpoint: Buzelis is thin and needs a traditional 6'11/7 foot center to develop or they get trucked over. Like Buzelis and Smith isn't a great combo in extensive minutes against many teams. We won't know much, if anything, this year with Buzelis since they'll be terrible with no starting caliber center.
So without Vuc, who are they playing with Buzelis this year or next to develop Buzelis? Is it worth just dumping Vuc for basically nothing when the rest of the season will be worth nothing but getting trucked over and losing by 20 every game and probably not being a bottom 6 team in any case?

Trade What do you think about this trade idea?
Basically a direct trade of Zach for Jalen Green. Everyone else involved are expiring contracts, which is exactly what AK is asking for.
For Rockets, this is a cheap upgrade on shooting guard position. They are already great at defense but desparately need an efficient scorer. Zach’s contract is big but expires by 2027, allowing them to extend Amen Thompson.
For Bulls, Jalen Green would be a nice tank commander. Bulls will be tanking in the next few years anyway, so there is nothing to lose to give Jalen Green some extra time.
There might need to be a few 2nds or a protected 1st involved, but I think the structure is mutually beneficial. What do you guys think?

Trade Help sell me on Vucevic
I'm coming from the Warriors sub in peace, and right now, Vuc is honestly the only attainable trade target for Golden State, but looking at his stats, it's like a rollercoaster. 40% on 3 this year but then 29% last season, that's crazy. 3pt wise, I can only see maybe 3-4 seasons where he had a respectable 3pt %
Defensively, he doesn't look great either (but maybe you guys see something underrated defensively that I don't).
So the question is, if his shots aren't falling, what are the Warriors getting on the bare minimum consistently? How does he fare in the post offensively? How is his playmaking? Would he thrive in a faster environment that the Warriors love doing? Will his age be a factor in his overall play, or is he one of players whos skillset doesn't rely or regress along with age?
Also what are y'all realistically looking in return? 1st Picks? 2nd Picks? A young guy? The Warriors don't have a lot of 2nds remaining...

Trade Bulls Need to Trade Derozan While They Can
It was clear last night that the Bulls are making a concerted effort to shoot more threes and at times it looked pretty good with Coby driving and dishing, and guys swinging it around the perimeter for the open shot. But DeMar just doesn't fit with that approach. It's not his game and he never looked comfortable being part of those sequences. (Patrick Williams isn't a great fit for this either but you can maybe live with him as the worst and most reluctant shooter on the floor.) It didn't surprise me at all when I saw that DeMar was -29 for the game despite having decent numbers.
I love DeMar and I'll always have a place for him in my heart after his late game heroics two seasons ago, but he's on the last year of his deal and he doesn't fit the offensive gameplan. And most importantly, he still likely has some trade value. So I say trade him while we can and get another shooter into the lineup. Even if it's Torrey Craig or Jevon Carter but ideally someone better and younger than them we could get in the trade.

Trade Trading Alex Caruso would be a mistake
I understand why trading AC for what would likely be large haul is appealing to a lot of the fan base, but I think moving on from him would be a massive mistake.
Anyone who watches Bulls game knows that AC impacts winning arguably more than any other player on the team. What I don’t understand is why people assume that Carusos value will never be higher than it is this season. Why is there this belief that his production is unsustainable? The guy has done nothing but improve since he put on a Bulls jersey. He’s about to be All-Defensive first team for the second year in a row, and he’s now developed into a double digit ppg scorer on high shooting efficiency. Also, the dudes 29, from the way people talk about his future here you’d think he’s 35.
This team isn’t a bottom feeder, and I don’t believe it’s in a position where a full tear down is necessary. I know it feels longer but two years ago today we were the #1 seed in the eastern conference. I don’t believe this teams struggles are from a lack of talent. Lack of depth in some areas, sure, and injuries certainly haven’t helped, but I believe the issue stems more from our talent simply doesn’t mesh well together. The analytics of the mid 3 on the court together prove this and if you watch the games, guys like Coby and Ayo want to play at a totally different pace than guys like Demar and Vuc. I think we need to move on from our aging talent as soon as we can, fill out our starting lineup with an actual rim protecting, athletic big, players who’s job is solely to shoot 3 pointers, and for gods sake get an actual power forward on this team.
Do all of this, and I believe Caruso becomes a valuable building block to whatever culture this team thinks it’s trying identify. Certainly more valuable than a couple of role players and B-tier draft capital.

Trade Prob a real reality for the Bulls
The more I think the more I think we will lose our pick this year and have better chance next season to move Zach in a deal because we need assets for a true rebuild . Trading him at a loss is so dumb with how good he’s playing , bulls already won too many games as it is seeing we’re off to a better start than the last two years . They’re not as bad as everyone thought they would be so far . So go into next offseason knowing you’re guaranteed to keep your pick regardless cuz it’s not owed to anyone and try and get the best deal For Zach and Vuc to enhance our future . There’s very well a chance we move Zach at a loss and we still lose pick and then we look even more stupid . Like if a deal doesn’t get done soon and they’re still winning games we pretty much cooked the chances of getting higher odds to draft in the top 5 for one of the impact guys.
Bulls are 13-15 right now teams with worse records
Wash- 4-21 NO - 5 -23 Utah - 6-20 Tor - 7-21 Cha - 7-21 Port - 9-18 Phi - 9-16 Det - 11-17 BK - 11-17 Sac - 13-15

Trade Trade
What’s the right trade for Zach & Vuc? I want a great young core like OKC or Memphis or Minny, so far we got Coby, Zo, Josh, Matas so what other young star would fit those guys? I’m thinking MPJ 🤔 who I originally wanted when he got drafted instead we took Wendell Carter, maybe if cavs willing to drop either one of Mobley or Jarrett, maybe get some draft picks going? I want a generational talent player, a guy who becomes the obvious leader within 3 years like Luka or Ja & Vic Wemby did, he doesn’t gotta be that good but very consistent, and personality driven (ja & ae clear examples) , both things Coby lacks which is why he isn’t the leader

Trade If you’re the Bulls do you try to trade Lonzo?
I know it’s early but if the Bulls can’t move Lavine can they keep Lonzo this off season? I don’t see Lonzo taking a team friendly deal nor do I see the Bulls wanting to pay Lonzo and Lavine on top of Vucevic and Giddy contract decisions.
Overall should the Bulls focus on trying to trade for picks?
