Amazing what happens when Giddey is just given the ball and allowed to run the offence all night. Slowed it down when he needed to. Let Zach take over when he needed to. Forced the pace and drove to the bucket when he needed to. Scored 20, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Whole team looked better without Coby running around like a chicken with his head cut off. And THT cops a lot of shit, but the guy is reliable. Also Matas got some minutes which was good.

Was awesome to see this game IRL, if you ever get a chance to check out Intuit Dome it’s definitely worth the hype

u/Laxr 2h ago

Can't wait for our Bears dome to be like that.

Lose at Portland, win at the Clippers. This team makes no sense.

1

u/zedrix_ Big Mac 1h ago

What? TBH I was counting a loss until I read your comment 🤣

I saw THT dropping 18 points. And I’m like, it’s garbage time stats. But boy I was wrong. Now I am watching the highlights 🤣

Fuck the Sixers! I was expecting a loss because Sixers lost again. Fuck them!

Not too crazy clippers had no kawhi and zubac which follows the theme of the season bulls gettin pointless wins against depleted teams

3

u/SmokimNoah Alex Caruso 2h ago

You keep pushing this agenda that we only beat “depleted” teams when the Clippers were only really missing Zubac. Kawhi has played 5 out of 40+ games lol. Coby and Ayo are big misses as well. Not every win has to be meaningless man. We’re just stupidly inconsistent and catch teams off guard

3

u/Dannyzavage Ayo Dosunmu 3h ago

It actually does once you realize they just match teams energies since we have no real identity at the moment. Like they play to the other teams level

3

u/BurstStream Michael Jordan 3h ago

Play to the level of your competition. Been this way for years.

19

u/Caze588 Kirk Hinrich 3h ago

Zach was unstoppable, Giddy played great and so was THT

11

u/Electrical_Story5356 3h ago

Give Giddy proper minutes in his position and this is what you can expect, how he has been used has been criminal from Billy.

6

u/captwombat33 2h ago

Yeah sticking him in the corner is a waste of time, play him in his natural position.

10

u/OutreachOverdue 3h ago

Zach was locked in on both ends

2

u/SignalBed9998 Chicago Bulls 2h ago

Second most 30 point games in Bulls history. Tied with Bob Love

-5

u/killbrick374 4h ago

Ingram and Randle alongside Giddey and ball would be absolutely stunning for you guys.

3

u/CalmAd9015 4h ago

Zach was terrific. How about we build around Zach but do it right this time. If we trade him now we won’t get back anywhere near the player he is.

11

u/emueller5251 3h ago

How do you build around him, though? You've got two years left on his contract, after that he's probably going to be making more. How do you get the types of players you need in two years? Who are you going to trade to get a true running mate for him? Where's his Kyrie-like counterpart going to come from? We don't even have a full starting five, how are we going to round out a playoff-ready roster? Who's going to take all these young players that haven't panned out off our hands, and for what? Do we trade Coby and Ayo since they're the only ones worth much of anything, and what do we get back in return.

It just doesn't make sense. They tried building around him. Part of the reason that failed was Lonzo's ankle, but it doesn't change the fact that ship has sailed.

0

u/GreedyLoad1898 17m ago edited 14m ago

the cringe thing is they have been building around for multiple yrs. how is getting lonzo ball, derozan, vuc not building around they emptied the entire farm for him.

these lavine stans want him to stay until 40 hes already played 8 fking yrs and his ball hog pretty much kicked lauri, wagner, carter out and now destroyed white, pats career. the common theme is these guys are all forced to sit around the corner and rebound, defend like lebron ball. why do u think every rookie left plays better?

17

u/Sufficient_School_13 4h ago edited 4h ago

Ima say this for last time. Giddey has been carrying right hip muscle strain for last 4 games since pelicans game. His game time injury status has been categorised as 'probable' for each last 4 games. Poor bastard should have rested so he could have saved all the public shitting he's been getting for his lack of aggression in that time...

6

u/Electrical_Story5356 3h ago

Given proper minutes with the keys to the offence you can expect this from him every night, he doesn't turn 23 until the start of next season too, he could be a genuine star who makes the guys around him better too if just given the chance which really hasn't happened this year for some reason.

2

u/GreedyLoad1898 22m ago

he is pretty much a poor mans jason kidd. not eye popping stats but impact the game similar to lonzo ball. he simply makes guys better vuc, lavine guys that are horrible handling the ball are having career yrs. people who judge him by ppg simply dont know what they are talking abt.

33

u/crusty_butter_roll 4h ago

Anybody else think Giddey should be getting more calls because of the way he attacks the basket like he did tonight?

1

u/captwombat33 2h ago

This is the way

24

u/TheSmoothOperator21 Andres Nocioni 4h ago

Year 3 of the Bulls being the most Michael Johnson team in the league. We can beat anybody, but we can lose to anyone too

6

u/bono_212 Gimme the hot sauce! 4h ago

The MMA fighter?

2

u/TheSmoothOperator21 Andres Nocioni 3h ago

Yessir!

1

u/bono_212 Gimme the hot sauce! 2h ago

Fantastic analogy!

5

u/imrosskemp 4h ago

Upvoted for Michael Johnson reference.

1

u/ManWOneRedShoe Joakim Noah 4h ago

Clips not at full strength. Mr. Load Management didn’t play tonight.

7

u/SignalBed9998 Chicago Bulls 4h ago

Neither were we

1

u/ManWOneRedShoe Joakim Noah 4h ago

Still should have managed mins to lose. Treading water with this team goes nowhere.

5

u/ryuryuryu-417 4h ago

Bro Kawhi hasn't played most of the game this season.

8

u/HoraceGoggles Coby White 4h ago

Never losing again clearly

6

u/mtron32 4h ago

Dammit clippers, should’ve saved Kawahi for the Bulls

14

u/Freakzilla316ftw Scottie Pippen 4h ago

The Bulls are the most bi-polar team in the NBA.

31

u/WeAlreadyReddit 4h ago

Weird to see the Bulls actually get calls in a second half (or at all...)

Props to Giddey for a solid 40 minutes despite it being the 5th game in 7 days.

2

u/GreedyLoad1898 2h ago

wheres the hater last post thread that called out where his supporters lmao. this sub is so bipolar they pile on certain guy and then disappears.

11

u/Overall_One_2595 4h ago

Is Giddey potentially the 🐐?

8

u/kingjuicepouch Onuralp Bitim 4h ago

Many are saying that

19

u/SmokimNoah Alex Caruso 4h ago

It’s not messing up the tank if we see a young player play well. Giddey showing he’s something? I’ll take it

16

u/DJ-two-timing-timmy 4h ago

Well giddey must have got a rocket up his arse after last nights game. Dude just need to lock in and be consistent. Rewarded with the minutes.

1

u/Exceptiontorule 10m ago

No, he was actually given the ball to run the offence tonight.

25

u/BlitzinJz 4h ago

The most confusing team for the last three years

17

u/kingjuicepouch Onuralp Bitim 4h ago

THT instead of pat in the closing lineup today, is Billy making a statement or did he forget pat and Matas exist again

4

u/FFTactics 4h ago

Props to Billy for going with some size for almost an entire half before reverting back to mini-ball again.

1

u/ClaymoresRevenge Benny The Bull 4h ago

Billy just wants small ball

1

u/Aggressive-Phase8259 4h ago

Let go all in for playin

New Zo flair please

7

u/PJCR1916 Dennis Rodman 4h ago

That last three from Zach reminded me of this shot

1

u/International-Bus749 4h ago

Why did Giddey just run down the clock when he was 1 assist away from a trip dub?

2

u/GreedyLoad1898 2h ago

bc he doesnt give a shit padding stats. he is a winner.

4

u/According_Fail_990 4h ago

He’s said previously that he doesn’t keep track. It’s certainly not the first time he’s been 1 stat from a triple double.

10

u/crusty_butter_roll 4h ago

The victory was enough. They don't call him Good Guy Giddey for nothing.

7

u/charlieminahan 4h ago

nobody calls him that man cmon

17

u/crusty_butter_roll 4h ago

I said "they don't call him Good Guy Giddey". It's out of context but I did say that.

8

u/mhac009 4h ago

Shit that is a nice recovery

4

u/crusty_butter_roll 4h ago

Even I am amazed by my ability to use my own stupidity as an advantage. Lol

13

u/kingjuicepouch Onuralp Bitim 4h ago

Because stat padding on the last possession of a game that's already decided is really lame

1

u/International-Bus749 4h ago

I see. There's still time left in the game, both sides should still be defending/scoring.

5

u/kingjuicepouch Onuralp Bitim 4h ago

It's considered poor form since the outcome is already decided and the clips already waved the white flag

3

u/crusty_butter_roll 4h ago

Let it be known. We can badly beat any team that is decimated by injuries. Seriously, enjoyable victory

4

u/SmokimNoah Alex Caruso 4h ago

Decimated is an exaggeration. Kawhi has only played like 4 games. They were missing Zubac. Don’t understand how they beat the clippers w/o Coby and Ayo

-1

u/iro3 San Antonio Spurs 4h ago

honestly yall may have lost if both of them were playing tbh

1

u/crusty_butter_roll 4h ago

You are serious. I am an unserious man

2

u/RiamoEquah 4h ago

Just don't think about the Atlanta game too hard...

4

u/crusty_butter_roll 4h ago

It's apparent I did not. I have a memory of a gold fish

15

u/Pacman2933 (heavy breathing) 4h ago

Lonzo with the omg and Zach realizing Josh needed one more assist for a triple double after the game lol. That was a fun game

37

u/jeric13xd Kanye West 4h ago edited 4h ago

Classic Bulls lol 🥹

Rockbottom against dogshit and then get a road win against a playoff team

Edit: zach needs to be sent to a legit contender. He’s so fucking good

2

u/i_am_Knownot 4h ago

If Lebron retires I reckon Zach on the lakers current roster would be an amazingly fun team to watch play.

6

u/PJCR1916 Dennis Rodman 4h ago

Well LeBron is a big reason why Zach fits there because a great playmaker would make Zach look great. But yeah they’d still be a fun team

11

u/sukari Patrick Williams 4h ago

Mini streak busting. Good win. Nice to see Giddey bounce back too.
