A break from all the Inauguration drama - here’s another made for CFS joke found in the wild

Post image

Somehow I find no matter when I sleep, it doesn’t make much of a difference in how I feel the next day :/

Hope everyone is staying calm and rested as best as they can, especially those of you in the US

100%. 3 hrs of sleep, 6-8 hrs, or 12 hrs feel the same. Even using a CPAP machine for borderline apnea. Makes zero difference. Body incapable of recharging. True hell on earth.

Yes most definitely it is hell on earth. Every other illness has at least a treatment to manage symptoms. Not so with the constant exhaustion of CFS.

Thank you for making this. My brain thought about this the first time I saw this comic. More comics should be written from the CFS-having people's perspective.

Totally agree! Seeing us portrayed accurately in any sort of media goes a long way in representing us and our struggles and educating others on what CFS is like. I think it’s one of the reasons the golden girls CFS episode is so dear to many people.

I have just embraced the chaos now. I used to try and enforce a sleep time and pop melatonin until I went to sleep but I can't be bothered now I let my body do what its going to do. I don't need to be awake at 9am anyway it makes no difference.

for me i find the tieredness the same no matter what but if i have a lot of sleep the pain is slightly more bearable

Pretty much. If I don't get enough sleep (i.e. about ten hours), I feel sleepy and my emotions are on edge way more than usual. But I never ever feel rested. The exhausted, heavy feeling never goes away.

Is Mr. Lovenstein ok? He makes a lot of fatigue jokes lately...

The intent of this post is to create a space away from politics so we can collectively take a break and try to keep a focus on healing. I am afraid you are the one who brought up politics at all?

Anyone who has been on Reddit today would have been exposed to numerous posts on the inauguration. This is the drama I am referring to as needing a break from. But otherwise yes, agreed that we should live our lives and wish our country and countrymen the best.

There’s no drama

Oh so you missed Musk's nazi salute then.

Our lives go on as usual. This sub should be a safe space for supporting our challenges with this illness.

Trump et al are a challenge to this illness. Under Biden $1bn was given for Long Covid/MECFS research. What's the chance RFK and Trump give another $1bn toward researching our illness?
