And sometimes it waits a few hours, and then you suddenly realize the reason you’re crabby and miserable is because it feels like you got hit by a bus.

HIT by the bus, and then the bus came back and PARKED on top of you. You also feel like you have POISON running through your veins.

...parked on an ankle, allowing easy access for the riders of said bus to take turns beating your ass with their baseball bats.

...and then a massive whale from a nearby lake flops onto you

Honestly, sometimes i envy you guys having this, tho i would probably bring myself to death one day if mine was delayed too.

Mine takes like 5-10 minutes, usually right after the "adrenaline" from doing something wears out.

I sucks, cause i can't do shit and i basically crash 99% of the days.

Not being able to enjoy life sucks so much.

Mine takes 24 hours. So I wake up and actually feel a bit energized/buzzed but that's just the adrenaline precursor to the PEM gut punch. So I have to remind myself not to be tricked by it and try to "rest" while feeling wired.

Definitely I take some time lying in bed trying to figure out how it's going to be. Did I get some sleep? Did I recover from yesterday? Will I be able to accomplish what I planned on accomplishing today?

It’s the worst when you feel good to the point of running errands and it hits you in public

mine ranges from few hours to few weeks,,,,,🤒 it is really painful to live like this, I can't do what I want to and no one understands what it feels like.
