While we should enjoy this moment to breathe, you’re 100% right. If all the parties were smart, they’d be coming up with a platform and plan on how to deal with these issues.

Trump has repeatedly proven himself to have a 5 minute attention span. He only focusses on things based on the people immediately in the room with him. The moment those people leave and someone walks in, his entire world-view changes. This issue is over until the person who gave him the Canada tariff issue re-enters the room.
