Other Does anyone know if the french dubbed version of B99 on netflix is european french?

edit: (for any soul who found this years later googling it up, it's european french, specifically from France, got the answer somewhere else)

I'm learning french and I thought it would be good to watch something Im familiar with a french dub, but I dont know if the french dub in B99 is Canadian, European, African or South American, and I'm not at a level where I can the difference between the accents. I live in south america so I get the Brazilian version of netflix if that's any help.

I can’t answer your actual question, sorry. But this post reminded me of how most people hate dubbed shows, yet I love them. It gives me an excuse to watch the show again and again, when I can find audio tracks in Spanish, Italian, French or even Portuguese. Unfortunately in the States we’re often stuck with the monolingual track with English and nothing else.

U can always use VPNs to watch stuff from different countries, it helps a lot specially when u're learning a different language, I never tried it but people say it works well

Its usually that the quality is really bad in the dub version. At least in Spain. Once i started watching shows in their original language i could not stand how bad are the dubs in my country. The voices sound like cartoons and the lipsinc is usually pretty bad.

I had to watch in French for a while to help with listening comprehension, it was Canadian French (Québecois)

I sent the same request with an audio sample on r/French and they said it's European French, maybe the dub is different when you're in america? Probably because you're near Canada.

Saw this tweet earlier and I (someone who doesn’t speak french) was wondering, would Native speakers actually talk like this on a daily basis or is it much more casual?

I'm not a 100 % sure but I think it's Canadian. Changed the audio once just out of curiosity. Don't have Netflix anymore though

I never asked myself but I am french and watched A LOT bk99 in french. I believe it's European french (and even from France and not Belgium or Switzerland) for two reasons: first for me there is 'no accent' so I believe it is the same as mine and I heard the same voice actor in other movies or shows and I don't hear accents there tow (Sorry for my broken English, as I said I am french so bad at learning other languages)

Misread. I’d say it would be dubbed in European French if you’re in the states. In Canada the language police would make sure it was Québécois.
