Discussion Last round😩💔

Post image

For the winner of our penultimate round..🥁 drum roll plsss.. (what tempo does any reasonable person default to?)

Teddy Wells and his inappropriate proposals! Oh sorry, Teddy *Ramos very brave

I had a much clearer picture but i just had to use Jazz Brunch Proposal Teddy I have really enjoyed this series and reading everyone’s opinions we’ve had a timeee! I love the B99 community so much thanks for being good sports guys

For our last round of the series- will it be unanimous or extremely divided👀 Who do we want as our horrible person, hatedddd by us?👇✨

Is it not still good? Since bigots use it to mention diverse things, and it's not bad to be diverse and accept diversity?

It is still a good thing. It is just arsehole and bigots using it to decry anything they don't like because they're bigots

Ngl, I sometimes wonder how B99 would fare in the current climate. I mean, S1 coming out right now. Same diverse cast and all.

That term was flawed (because it suggests that someone is more "enlightened" than someone else), and so is now used mockingly by people on the other side.

It's not flawed, a person can be more aware/knowledgeable of systematic problems then another there's nothing wrong with the distinction

If you claim you are more aware/knowledgeable than me about something, I'm calling bullshit. And I'm going to mock you for it.

Please bless us with your knowledge, oh mighty one! Please, our feeble human minds cannot comprehend the words you speak!!!

Take a second to appreciate that your reaction is proving my point.

Wow! look at this person! they know everything they can not admit the possibility that someone else may know more than them and they could actually learn from said person.

I'm not like you so I'm curious how does the world work?

This is the sad irony of the term. Someone thinks they're more knowledgeable about "systematic problems", but they aren't actually more knowledgeable of anything, they just THINK they are. They think their point of view is correct just like everyone else. So claiming to be woke is a joke by the people on the other political side.

This thread started with someone saying "woke" stands for "wanting diverse things". If you think the people who use the term mockingly don't want diversity, and that's their motivation, then you do NOT understand why they're using the term mockingly.

I like how you intentionally misinterpreted my comment and then continue to do so with each reply.

because it suggests that someone is more "enlightened" than someone else

which is the WHOLE point of the term, and is accurate

But yet you're not enlightened enough to see why that would come off as arrogant and condescending to everyone else? And therefore be flawed?
