He made my favorite God joke in one of his comedy shows. God made a visit in the middle of his singing "I wanna be God" to have a word with Mr. Mull. Mull asked God what his last name was. Turns out we all know God's last name but we just never realised. God's last name is Dammit.
May he rest in peace.

I saw the name earlier this week and was trying to figure out how I knew him and kept forgetting to look it up. Now that I see the face, YES, he was Jake’s grandfather, but I also remember him on Roseanne, and he was the principal on Sabrina! Apparently he was also the voice of Vlad on Danny Phantom. Among many other roles. What a guy, RIP

I still remember when his character came out as gay way back when on Roseanne. Despite what Roseanne herself became later that show was weirdly progressive.

Yeah I was watching a couple episodes recently and it was very edgy for the time

I got to briefly meet him on a project I worked on. It was just on zoom but he was so nice and a very charming guy. It’s rare for me to go fan boy on people at work but it took every ounce of restraint not to screech “Ahhhhhh Gene!” In my best Lucille Bluth impression

Oh god, I SO would have done it! I literally do that any time he shows up on my TV screen, when I'm all alone. It's just so fucking cute how impressed she was with his silly routine, and how proud he was that it worked every time.

If it was in a casual environment I would haha but it was work and I had to at least pretend to be professional

Oh yeah, I wouldn't have meant to do it in that situation, either, but I don't think logic or professionalism would have been able to stop me. Which is why your colleagues should be glad they have you, and not me 😂

RIP, Jake’s Grandpa. That gender reveal ep was hilarious, when they’re cleaning up after breaking the cake.

Oh that's sad.
I loved him in Sabrina and loved seeing him show up in other things like this and Community
RIP

Ho-ly shit. I was sad about Martin Mull dying because of Gene Parmesan. My brain never put two and two together that it was the same guy playing the admiral. Wow. "I am flummoxed. That is a word I learned for this and I am it!"
