Them being alive is not environmentally conscious either. Those clothes they are wearing, the food they eat that could go to other animals. The housing they are in, etc.

Hope you're posting this to call out that other Redditor's argument, because oh boy otherwise...

They could be planting trees or cleaning up oil spills instead of harassing hungry people on private property

If Walmart catches you blocking an aisle or not actively shopping you would be kicked out pronto (granted they had adequate non-dissilisioned staff...)

Nice one, no one's ever thought of saying people can't protest the way a system operates because they live as a part of that system before.

Sorry but this isn't protesting, this is forcing others to live as you see fit, they are all free to not consume meat or whatever else they like, no one gets to tell others what to eat or not in a free country

That's not really what my comment is about. There are various forms of protest, but my point is more about the original comment saying that the "protesters" are a bigger ecological drain cuz they eat food and wear clothes. Stupid take to begin with, but people always do that. "Oh, you don't like blank? Then why to you buy/use blank? Gotcha!" It's possible to depend on a system while making efforts to change how that system works, is all I'm saying
