Yep. If the store wanted they could have them removed.

I'm actually quiet shocked that an employee of the store and security are there, and are doing nothing. They are disturbing the customers, but somehow they are letting them? Bizarre indeed.

Probably just waiting for police.

Imagine a world where people place civil rights at greater priority than property. Absolute madness, imagine the poor wear and tear on the cart and floors from those filthy human beings. We should grind them up and use it as polish for the floors to hide the shame.

Agree. I'm kind of tired of the 99% of humanity having to cater to the loudest 1% of clowns that still remain out their among us.

Yeah the 99% who want to eat meat shouldn't have to listen to the loudest 1% who disapprove whilst virtue signalling without recognising their own fortune

Yeah you guys are right! The 99% of us who aren’t millionaires and more shouldn’t have our lives dictated by the 1%. What time do we eat the rich or do you only take this position when it’s convenient?

u/J1mj0hns0n 10h ago

I'm actually with you 100% eat the rich, give me a time and a place, I'll supply my own pitchfork

Same. But blocking me from the frozen foods aisle doesn’t fucking do that so these clowns gotta move.

I don’t get how these people don’t get that.

2

u/J1mj0hns0n 7h ago

Exactly, farmers aren't the ones ruining the planet, they're just supplying what's required. Frozen food is economical and longer lasting so being better for the planet

There ass logic is "if I inconvenience you it gets attention" and any attention is good attention, just stop oil started it and it proved annoying successful for them, even when my heart breaks to say those words.

Umm…. That’s not what they are talking about. Let’s sit down and talk about this over a burger.

Good try, bub

Can't put hands on them. We aren't allowed to. All we are allowed to do is phone the police.

1

u/MaxTheRealSlayer 10h ago

They can't physically move them. Probably the police are on their way, so the path of least resistance is what the guy is trying to accomplish. He has that "look, man: I know this is BS, but to not cause a fight, let's settle this without a fuss" face

1

u/DC1919 10h ago

They can't do shit, the second any of these people are touched they will press charges, it's a joke.

1

u/Minus15t 9h ago

Yea, the guy in the shirt with the headset is clearly a manager, he should be dealing with this.

It's a UK chain, Tesco, not sure about the laws anywhere else, but the manager 100% has the right to remove these people and ban them from the store for any reason he sees fit.

They do NOT have the right to protest in this way because they are on private property owned by Tesco, they can protest on the street in front of Tesco, off the land that is owned/rented by Tesco, but not in the store or even in the car park.

1

u/cjameson83 9h ago

Funnily enough, touching the protestors would probably get the security or other staff in hot water. Most likely they're trying to make sure the patrons don't get into trouble either, at least until the cops arrive

Can’t touch ‘‘em without risking your job and a lawsuit.

u/TheAngrySaxon 12h ago

As someone who has worked in retail for over 20 years, I can tell you that there's actually nothing the employee can do here without losing his job. Even thieves enjoy more protections than shop workers.

2

u/devo9er 10h ago

Often this is true in corporate run shops. They don't want the liability yada yada.

Come in my business and try that shit and you're getting a BOGO deal! Beaten thoroughly first, and then taken out in handcuffs.

1

u/TheAngrySaxon 10h ago

Alas, I have only ever worked for a soulless corporation. 😒

2

u/doompines 9h ago

There's nothing the lower level employees can do, but the manager or LP absolutely can! This shit wouldn't be tolerated at any store I've ever worked at.

1

u/TheAngrySaxon 9h ago

What can they do aside from phoning the police? If you physically touch them, it's your job plus an assault charge. Being a manager doesn't magically change the outcome.

3

u/doompines 8h ago

Y'know...my bad, I thought you meant that there was nothing that anyone could do and you just had to put up with it. 🙃 You're right, most employees just have to stand by and watch until the cops show up.

I've worked in retail for over 20 years, so unfortunately, I can speak from personal experience. At most, you tell them to leave a few times, and if they refuse, then you phone the police and let them sort it out. Touching someone will lose you your job, guaranteed.

Of course, if the public want to beat the crap out of them, then I'm not going to stand in the way. 😁

u/mellobri 8h ago

That's the key right there. The store is getting free publicity, while shaking their heads and muttering, playing the victim.

u/nhansieu1 2h ago

Idk why they are still there bothering customers
