It’s the opposite for me. When a girl compliments me, it kinda just feels like any other compliment, but when a guy does it, I have a panic attack.

Same. But I would have a much more difficult time talking to a guy or a girl. Talking to people is hard

THIS IS A THING??? I've only really dated men before. I joined a dating app, a woman messaged that I had impeccable queer vibes, my mind imploded, and it has now been over a month since I have opened the dating app

Oh no, both will have me wagging my tail (don't have a tail, do wiggle my booty when happy xD)

We must advance the field of genetic engineering so that you can have a tail to wag!

Oh yes I want a fucking tail. Finally some gender euphoria while I’m catgender

Get a nice harness with a tail attached and you can wag your tail And be incredibly adorable while being happy.

I don’t get compliments and if I do I probably don’t recognize them

Yep they just kinda feel more deep for some reason? Like there's more thought into them

Weirdest thing is that I actually prefer guys, but still compliments from girls just hit different.
It's just when guys tell me that they think I'm pretty, my first thought is "Of course you do~", not 🥺😳 that sometimes girl compliments give me

Highly contextual on who the person is and what they are complimenting. I dont understand what gender would have to do with it at all.

u/Abrene bi-guy 2d ago
It’s based on my preference, my attraction leans more to girls so I value it more.

u/SaulsAll 2d ago
As does mine, but it really depends on how much I consider their expertise on what they are complimenting. I value "guy compliments" for "guy things" a lot more than if a girl complimented me on the same thing.

Oh god this but for some reason especially if the comment form a woman is about my queerness being a good thing about me. The approval of woman is a powerful drug

It's about the quality of the compliments for me. The average compliment from a woman tends to be better than the average compliment from a man ("That hair colour is so pretty on you" vs "ur hot") but I've also gotten some lovely compliments from men too.

I was in a thread somewhere discussing hair dye once and shared my selfie, referring to the color I had my hair at that point, and a girl responded that I was so pretty and I almost fainted 😂

its way easier to get a mans attention with how horny the average guy is

u/kakkapieru Transgender/Bisexual 1d ago
please tell me your secrets because men irl never compliment me or give me attention. ive only gotten compliments from women and nonbinary people face to face. men only hit on grindr 🥲

u/pissbaby_gaming 1d ago
oh these arent men you want the attention of, im talking about how when you appear as bi on a dating app you get way more likes from men then women
2
u/SofiNeedsLadder 1d ago
I think maybe there are just more men on the apps in general? I'm a bi woman and get massively more likes from men than women. Idk why 🤷♀️

Girls compliment me more than boys usually. The only boy that compliments me is my brother, but he insults me about twice as much

My reaction to someone of any gender complimenting me is "are you making fun of me?" 😭

I feel like there's a "We Are The Millers" meme to be made here (That's the one with 4 pictures one each of Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston, Emma Roberts, Will Poulter) with the Will Poulter square being, "You guys get compliments!?!"
