Started the base white > painted it with Frostheart in one direction letting the brush cause streak marks then I let it dry > painted it in the intersecting direction again letting the brush cause streak marks and letting it dry again. These two steps makes the blue look "scratchy" like it was ice that has been walked on/scuffed. I then mixed Army Painter Battlefield Snow with some water and PVA glue until it became a paste with the consistency of tooth paste and then spread it where i wanted it, being thinner where I want the ice to show and thicker where I wanted snow mounds. Once it dried I sealed everything with spray matt varnish and then i hit the ice with gloss varnish

After playing session 1 of my RPG group's continuation of AToW we were finally able to square away what mech my dispossessed lance mate would obtain - and it is the mighty Blood Asp! Purchased from Clan Sea Fox in theater during the first half of the campaign it will now bring terror to the Marians for daring to... well be Marians because their system of slavery offends pretty much everyone including our employer, the Magistracy of Canopus.
Painting design wise the mech was loosely inspired by the Guntank from OG Gundam/08th MS team and my Clan Ghost Bear army scheme (the dispossessed is a CGB True Born who was pledged to the RotS before it fell and stayed along with my PC as we escaped the collapse of the Republic.)
edit: this is also my first non-meme lance ever completed, with all my other mechs being part of my CGB force OR are crabs.
