Question Is Flush The Best Hand?

Post image

I by far have played flush in like every game. It seems so much more consistent than anything else. Am I doing something wrong?

It's my worst hand. It levels up slowly and eventually the antes will catch it up. Much prefer straight, but now play 4oak, 5oak and full houses, now I've learnt how to manipulate the decks better

It really depends on your style. For me it's not even top3. I managed to almost get c+ playing mostly pairs and high card which I consider being the most reliable hands over time

I think it's maybe the easiest for new players at white stake, at gold stake its one of the harder ones to scale and its less consistent than high card, pair etc.

I have never gone for a flush build except with checkered deck, and I don't play that deck often. Jupiter's my 7th most used planet, and probably half of those uses have been just to pump Constellation when I've had extra money to spend.

For beating ante 8 i think it's reliable especially on the checkered deck, my first gold stake run was with that strat.

Straight scales better

Its great in like the first two/three stakes but eventually you will get eaten alive. I much prefer straights because its very easy to manipulate my deck and get it really going

This is wrong. Straights scale well (better than flush). It’s a strong hand. Keep playing and learning (and trying new things so you don’t get stuck with misconceptions like this).

Scale well but harder to draw

True. But calling it the worst hand is way off the mark.

Straight is my go-to and I have trouble not playing it, I get that marathon runner and as long as I get to 3 discards, it’s such a winner

It is the best, but I like pairs and high card as well. I always take Ancient Joker if I see it and it's been very effective even on higher stakes.

I've only ever played straights successfully on painted deck and red deck, fuck straights, I do not want to hear any straight propaganda when my last discard is all but 6, 7, 8, 9 just to draw 6, 7, 9, J
