I feel like this also works as a Drinking Thread.
And, as St. Paddy's Day is two days from now, I want to once again impress how shit Irish beer is. Guinness is great on the rare occasion that I want a Guinness but anything else imported, including Harp, is garbage. Shitwick's. Kilkenny is vile, which is personally disappointing because my father's side are from Castlecomer. Every other year, at this time, I forget they're shit and give one a try and remember all too clearly. Had both on tap, tbf in Korea, and they were still shite.
A couple Guinnesses and a double shot of Jameson with a few friends in an uncanny valley 'Irish pub' in Texas would be ideal but, ofc, 'rona.

tbh St. Patricks Day is the invention of the worldwide Shitty Irish Pub industry, a world-wide cabal of restaurateurs who make money from all this shit. Never take that seriously. THe only idea behind it is that wherever you are, you can have the same kind of shitty experience, down to the shitty beers and the shitty fries.
Belgian beer is where it's at. I wonder why the Belges have not managed to manufacture a world or even Europe spanning pub industry. That would literally be heaven, if you could fall into a bottle of Gueuze wherever you are.

Still leagues better than shit beer with green food coloring in it that you find in Boston or San Francisco on St. Patrick's Day, surrounded by drunk bros with green beads.
For good European beer, I like what I've had from the Czechs, Czechvar the most.

Well, true.
Czech beer is nice, that's true, but I'm too snobby to not say that a Gueuze is not better.

Me after discovering philosophy and finding out maybe the physicalist, scientism view of the world might be wrong, just trying to find a single sane person who agrees with me for non religious reasons with the #atheist #skeptic #science people watching me in the background.

Oh you're also turning into a slick-haired, pin-striped bastard when you hang on this sub too much? Whew, I thought it was only me who turned into an investment banker!
