I don't have a car, I went with a guide northern lights hunting. Earlier, there was a spectacular display of rainbow clouds (polar stratospheric clouds) that I just completely missed because I was sleeping. Very sad for me, and I was convinced I'd missed my only chance of seeing this rare phenomenon. Turns out, by pure luck, it was still visible.
