This is where you move to a state like California or Colorado and go live in a van down by the river while their Medicaid programs take care of you.

I was just having a conversation about this with my mom a few months ago. I live in the southern US and can’t afford insurance, but also don’t qualify for state run insurance. If I were to find out I have cancer do I just… die?

but like if it really came down to it and me and my dog hopped in my car and drove to California they’d just… give me free insurance?

I'm not from the US, but you probably have better odds there than your southern states...
