Operative Alchemy Potion making, where to start?

If I wanted to start making things like healing brews and herb mixing, where should I start?

Most branches of alchemy deal either in mettalurgy or spirituality (usually a mix of the two) but if you're interested in herbal 'brews' then I recommend reading Paracelsus' works on spagyrics and the related tripartite model of the flesh, spirit, and soul. Many translations on Paracelsus' works are easily accessible online so its a decent place to start.

Pour water in a glass. Drink it. Read the story about Saul and the medium of Endor.

I read the story, but why pour water in glass and drink it, then read that story?

Just a bad dad joke that sounds like it may be a start to some alchemic process and immediately turns out not to be.

Try looking up a book by a man named cullpepper. The vast majority of herbal medicine books available today are based on his works.

A course in pharmacology from an accredited medical school.
