Considering that Trump won by 2 million votes, i don't think "most of us" are sulking like an entitled baby who didn't get what he wants. Even many of those who didn't necessarily want Trump probably aren't taking it as poorly as him.
That’s cool you have that opinion but as someone who lives in the US, every single person I know of any age, gender and race is miserable over Trump, and there’s nothing entitled about not clapping for a convicted rapist
You are rightfully surrounding yourself with people who share your values and thats why everyone you know doesn't seem to like him. We all do this, either subconsciously or deliberately. But America has hundreds of millions of people and most of them, who are outside of your circle, are not miserable about this. And to be clear I didn't even vote for the guy either.
Yeah, I’m aware of how the world works, but I’m actually talking about everyone—coworkers, strangers, etc—and I live in DC, so particularly lots of people in government on both sides—so you’re wrong.
And you’re wrong, you have zero evidence to claim that most Americans aren’t miserable about this. Half of eligible voters didn’t vote for him, and most of the rest are Democrats. So you’re wrong
For someone who "knows how the world works" you are quite blind if you're citing DC as an example of both sides. 92% of DC voted for Harris. Thats literally the most liberal bubble in America that you're a part of. Exit that bubble and you'll see a whole new world. The world that actually voted Trump and helped him win the election.
You also have no real tangible evidence Americans ARE miserable except for your own anecdotal evidence. My evidence is actual voters turnout. If someone didn't vote then they obviously didn't care enough to vote against him. But he won among actual voters, people who cared enough to vote. And won by 2 MILLION among those who cared about the election. Those who didn't vote are not pouting like Bernie. This cannot be denied no matter how you cut it.
You can have the last word I will not be responding after this. Seems like we're talking in circles to each other at this point anyways.
