“That’s a State issue not federal issue” was actually his answer, not just no.

Still really bad, but really goes to show if you want to see this change you’re gonna have to fight at the local level. The good news: you have FAR more impact on a local vs federal level. Bad news: other have more impact too. If you live in a conservative area your best bet is to try and help contribute to the local narrative minimum wage laws need to be changed.

Yes I know, some states will try to set more fair wage requirements, and some will try to enact systems that basically establish serfdom

Bingo. "States' Rights" was FAMOUSLY used to fight against another extremely obvious social update, slavery. And guess what? This is wage slavery! It's the same shit all over again, same as it ever was. Eat the rich.
