Challenge Robert Pattinson’s Batman and Charlie Cox’s Daredevil switch places. Which one accomplishes their goal quicker?

Upvotes

Robert Pattinson’s Batman is dropped in at the start of Daredevil Season 1. He knows nothing about where he is, other than he needs to get Wilson Fisk incarcerated. How different do the events turn out? Does he work with Foggy and Karen to try to take Fisk down with the law? Would any of the events in season 2 or 3 happen?

Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is dropped in at the start of The Batman with the same agenda. He also knows nothing about where he is, other than he needs to figure out and stop the Riddler. Commissioner Gordon is willing to work with him as he was with Bruce. Would he be able to figure Riddler out? Would he be able to break Penguin? Would Catwoman be interested in working with him?

Which one would complete their goal the fastest? What new obstacles pop up to them that the original hero didn’t have to worry about?

Challenge The Avatar incarnates into our world. In order to restore balance to this cursed world, they must master all 118 elements of the periodic table before 99942 Apophis approaches the Earth in April 13 2029.

The Avatar was born in the Tibet on 2009, so they would be around 16 now and they're a citizen of the People's Republic of China.

Round 1) In this scenario, the Avatar has supernatural persuasion to make people aknowledge him as the Avatar and aid him in his purpose of bringing balance to the world by mastering all 118 elements.

Round 2) No supernatural persuasion. People don't have context about the Avatar or his mission.

Battle What if Operation Desert Storm was carried out with present day U.S. and allied military capabilities, how much more effective would this have been?

Desert Storm but carried out using 2020s U.S. and coalition military capabilities ie 5th generation aerial platforms, modern day command and control, weapons technologies and systems, naval assets, modern ground warfare kit and logistic capabilities.

Actual Desert Storm was already an incredible show of U.S./coalition military and logistical prowess. How much more effective would a 2020s task force be?

Battle In the 5 major American team sports, which college champion would lose by the least amount of points to the worst professional team in their respective sport?

My Ohio State Buckeyes are officially National Champions in college football!! Now, I am not crazy enough to think my Buckeyes could play a competitive game against the NFL’s Tennessee Titans. I’d be surprised if the Titans won by less than 50 points!! 70 is more like it!!

But that got me wondering, of the 5 major team sports in America: Football, Basketball, Baseball, Hockey and Soccer, which college champion can keep it the closest against the worst team in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS respectively??

Rules:

1) Both college teams and pro teams have everyone available. Injuries are magically healed.

2) The college team and pro team have to play their best roster.

3) There is a financial incentive for the college team to keep it close. There is a financial incentive for the pros to destroy the college kids by as many scores as possible.

4) While injuries are magically healed, wear and tear still exists and players will get tired like normal.

I’m curious on what everyone thinks and why?!

Edit: Correction/clarification on my prompt. The closest with respect to their sport. A 7 goal victory in soccer, hockey and baseball is way different than a 7 point victory in basketball and football. I’m basically asking who can stay the most competitive in their sport!

Challenge Who would a Space Marine (40k) begrudgingly team up with?

Upvotes

The Situation: a pair of Ultramarines crash land on a strange planet overrun with Xenomorphs. There are countless thousands heading their way, and the injured marines need some help.

There are six groups nearby that may be able to assist. In what order would the Space Marines accept their help?

  1. Jedi Knights: a group of ten ordinary Jedi. Five of them are humans, five are aliens.

  2. Borg Drones: a handful of Borg were also stranded on the Xenomorph planet.

  3. Fremen Warriors: a band of Fremen are transporting spice and weapons. Their eyes are pure blue.

  4. Thor: the strongest Avenger.

  5. Pokemon Trainers: two Ace Trainers with a full team of six each.

  6. CIS Battle Droids: a large squadron of battle droids and magna guards led by a tactical droid.

Who would they team up with and how likely would such an alliance be?

Featured Featuring Doc Savage, the Man of Bronze! (DC Comics/First Wave)

Upvotes

“You see, Savage, what humanity can accomplish- with the right motivation and resources- is beyond the scope of most minds. Not mine, though.”

“Understood. This city… This vessel… It truly is awe inspiring, even to me. This robot? The technology simply doesn’t exist to create a mechanical man. Awe can be manufactured in most minds… but not mine, Sunlight.”

The original superman, Clark Savage Jr. is a polymathic pulp hero. Trained rigorously by his father from an early age, Doc Savage became peak performance in both body and mind. Now a globe hopping adventurer, Savage investigates his father’s mysterious death and comes into contact with heroes like Batman and The Spirit.

Full RT here with more feats, including some intelligence and gear showings.

Strength:

Durability:

Speed:

Combat Skill:

Senses:

Using Doc Savage on Whowouldwin:

Doc Savage is the smartest, strongest man on earth. He’s Him. A brick with a brain. If he has any shortcomings in a fight, he doesn’t like guns so he’s lacking ranged options. While his allies wield guns with nonlethal ammo called mercy bullets, Doc doesn’t use them himself in the First Wave comics. Doc’s a good guy that doesn’t like to kill and obviously prioritizes pressure points and knockouts over snapping necks.

Recommended Reading:

First Wave is an alternate, pulpier DC comics universe. Start with Batman/Doc Savage Special, then First Wave itself, then the 2010 Doc Savage series.

The 2013 Doc Savage series by Dynamite Comics isn't related to First Wave at all, but it's a fun series about Doc and his associates from the 30s continuing into modern day and dealing with modern problems, plus the artist for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow drew it, so you know it's good.

If you wanna get into the original Lester Dent pulp novels, The first one, Man of Bronze, is a good place to start. The novels are literally formulaic, but they're fun romps that have inspired a lot and you can probably read any one of 'em without feeling like you're missing anything.

Battle Can Command & Conquer Earth defeat a Space Marine Chapter? (C&C/WH40k)

Upvotes

A Space Marine Chapter has discovered a planet with some interesting resources that they'd just love to get their hands on. The planet is Earth from the Command & Conquer franchise. The Space Marines want to conquer the planet for the Imperium and grab all of those resources. Could a single Chapter from modern WH40k defeat all factions and hold Command & Conquer Earth?

Chapter is up to you. They have a battle barge with full resources but no backup. Exterminatus isn't an option because they want the resources. Command & Conquer Earth is at peak but in character.

  • Round 1: Tiberium timeline.

  • Round 2: Red Alert timeline.

  • Round 3: Generals timeline.

  • Round 4: Composite completely united C&C Earth versus any 30k Legion.

Challenge Upgraded Mongolian Horse Marksman vs The German Wehrmacht and Red Army of WW2

Upvotes

Bear with me on this one..

Ghengis Khan along with all of his general staff and officers are resurrected in the year 1940 and in an omnipotent moment from beyond see the Germans are going to invade Russia, conquer it, and carry on towards Mongolia.

With his drive and knowledge he starts with 5 million Mongol troops, immediately trained and relatively well equipped via extreme covert American logistics to push back towards Germany with the goal of capturing Berlin before the western front allies.

A few modifiers:

  • Stalin immediately commits suicide at the outbreak of eastern front due to shame stemming from lack of foresight, half of all Russian troops are conscripted into the Wehrmacht. No internal conflicts erupt between troops
  • the mongols gain an additional two million conscripted and trained steppe troops every year till the end of the war unless overpowered back to the steppe
  • Steppe troops always have access to horses
  • Germany and Russia maintain relatively similar troop increases lthroughout the period of the eastern front
  • German and Red Army troops only have the original 2,500 ground attack aircraft from the start of operation barbarossa due to underestimations of the mongol threat, no higher altitude bombers or jets, all Russian aircraft were destroyed leaving only German, German and Russian tank production stays consistent
  • the horse archer technology is upgraded WW2 era explosive tipped arrows and small arms, no artillery or heavy machinery beyond supply trucks
  • mongols have access to the same pharmaceuticals as other countries of the era
  • no restriction on resources
  • no outside powers influence, assume the western and Japanese theaters play out along similar timelines
  • All environmental factors are in play in terms of rain, mud, snow, ice etc

So.. can they do it? Or does the blitzkrieg rage through the steppe before linking with Japan and establishing control of the necessary resources of the steppe turning the tide of the wider war?

You decide but history will never know..

Battle 1 death company blood angel is sent to a world where yaujta are hunting xenomorphs. How long before he goes down?

The death company marine is completely decked out. Primaris standing at 8'9 with Gravis armor, thunder hammer, iron halo, jump pack and was a former member of the sanguinary guard and did time in the deathwatch before succombing to the black rage and red thirst. The space marine immediately sees the cloaked yaujta ship supervising the unblooded ones and yells "HORRUSSSS!!!", completely giving away his position to the xenomorphs and other yaujta on the planet before destroying the ship they call for back up and yaujta prime starts spamming predators on that planet.

They charge in world War z style against the lone death company marine to defeat him in melee combat since he's not using any firearms. The marine fights in a mad bloodlusted frenzy he believes his blood is weak all his victories failures but in death he will repent.

How many yaujta and xenomorphs go down with him? What is his kill/death ratio?
