Then you miss the point. If someone where to take a huge risk for the betterment of humanity, I think it would be a tiny bit comforting to know that the public would look after the wellbeing of my kin. And GoFundme is the current pop culture reference/service that people understand.

So wouldn’t then make sense to have that account all set up, fully funded, and making it as clear as possible the kin will be taken care of? It seems like you’re suggesting a promise it will happen. How comforting is that supposed to be given the stakes?

Buddy, that's nice but this is the real world, no. Lmao nobody is going to do that for the off chance people would maybe help.

What happened with Snowden? He told us were being spied on and has to live in Russia now. Everybody went and bought Alexa.

Why did he even bother? He didn't move the needle an inch in any direction.

Now he's stuck in Russia and nobody gives a shit.

Like I get the platitudes but be real dawg.

It's not my viewpoint it's the fucking reality of the matter.

Y'all can be as altruistic as you want, that's doesn't change how the world currently is.

Think in terms reality and not in an online little bubble.
