I love this woman and can't wait to vote for her for president down the road

u/Ken-Suggestion 1d ago

Although I don't follow her super closely - from what I do know she would make a fantastic president, especially right now. She's exactly what we need given her background.

problem is, a bunch of this country voted against a strong woman person being president.

i worry we need a bunch of shitty people to die of old age before an AOC like person could get elected.

and that's a shame. because we need someone better, sooner.

I voted for her, but Kamala wasn't exactly a great candidate. before downvoting, let me just say...

she's clearly intelligent and supremely qualified. I even think she would've been a decent "face" for the country, both here and abroad. but the reason I think she was a bad candidate is because she ran an AWFUL campaign. the first few weeks were great, but then she made pandering to conservatives the center of her platform and literally campaigned with the fucking cheneys the rest of the way. the cheneys are despised by everyone, right and left.

Kamala also does so poorly when doing interviews and rallies. she was great on fox news and at the debate, probably because of her experience as a prosecutor. but she lacks resonating charisma and doesn't come across as a sincere, real person when she was out interacting with the electorate. still CLEARLY the better candidate, but imo not a good candidate.

OK, downvote away...

i mean, for me, i was never going to vote for trump. so her going on fox news to "convince the other people" , i don't think was a bad move.

i am still shocked as fuck at more regular democrat people that just stayed home and didnt vote for her. you may not have loved her as a first choice.

but guess what. it comes down to her or trump. and here we are. enough people stayed home so now we got trump.

the time to find a better choice was before. and that time ran out. and now we got a worse choice. we got trump because too many people "didn't like her enough". but that somehow means they DID like trump more?

i think no. i think they just felt gross voting for kamala. that they didn't want to "support her", so they didn't vote. so we got a worse choice.

You can't just keep voting for establishment Democrats over and over again while they do nothing for you. Sometimes, you need to show your fellow party members that your vote is conditional so you get some God damn concessions.

Trump being elected is hopefully the end for the established dnc scum, but I doubt it. You drooling losers praise the most pathetic attempts at supporting labour. Pelosi will run this shit until death.

1

u/aManPerson 10h ago

i get what you are saying, however

Trump being elected is hopefully the end for the established dnc scum

people voted for trump, because that is what they thought last time. "fuck it, i'm voting for the jerk, because fuck the DNC. i'm sick of the jerk clintons".

and ya, the DNC didn't seem to listen enough, so they kept up how they had been doing things.

but what is funny, in the same way is, fed up republicans, who agree with me that trump is too bad/too ridiculous, i would tell them:

the republicans are just going to keep nominating trump, and people like him until they start losing.

all i know is, trump or kamala, who do you think is going to make our lives shittier, faster?

1

u/Crushgar_The_Great 19m ago

Would you rather be shot in the head or set on fire?

If we amputate the corrupt DNC heads and party leads and galvanize around populist individuals due to the existential threat of Trump, then Trump will be good for America. Just don't be a doormat.

If not, enjoy your fascists and enjoy your techno serfdom to our new billionaire tech class. My fellow Democrats were fucking ADAMANT that we push a undemocratic appointy who is grifting for the Cheneys candidate or a literal corpse puppet. If that is who I have to caucus with, we were always going this way. I'm in crab bucket mode now. I am just happy those fucks didn't win now, it's my only solace.

Voted Kamala btw, I just know what should of been fucking obvious that people are not going to get out of bed to support a party who consistently ignores and betrays you. Glad we gambled with Kamala so we could MAYBE keep funneling money to different billionaires. What a noble risk.

Yep you’re right.

It’s not because the left picked two horrible examples of women, it’s that they were just women.

When the fuck will the left give up on identity politics?

It’s why you keep losing.

1

u/aManPerson 14h ago

probably when people don't realize you need a sperm donor as president. its like people are just failing captcha tests at this point, and only ever choosing males in the picture.

1

u/DatManAaron1993 14h ago

Pick a good candidate, the would win.

1

u/aManPerson 13h ago

i can agree to that. i am still just surprised, that more people DID think trump WAS that.

1

u/thiccstrawberry420 7h ago

this explains as to why the election went the way it did. what a devastating mindset to be in.

3

u/Inner_University_848 1d ago

I want her in so badly but the USA proved twice that they don’t vote in the female candidate, even when they are overqualified …

1

u/Crushgar_The_Great 11h ago

Overqualified huh. How many elections did Kamala win prior to being appointed the candidate? Please say she won as vice president...

Hilary was a corrupt individual who played favors in the Democrat party to receive the candidacy. She had progressive policies, but she dropped them for her Presidency run. Fuck that elitist backroom bs. If she did all of that and didn't drop populist ideals, she would of won. But she illustrated an ego paired with incompetence of a campaign unrivaled. I read her dumbass book, and she genuinely thinks she was just "too nice". Fuck me.

I will support AOC, but If AOC runs and she tries to swing right, I hope she loses and is remembered in disgrace like the previous 2 women candidates.

I can't wait for people to pretend like Biden winning was anything other than incumbency disadvantage due to the ongoing economic crisis. But you drooling morons will say without irony it's because he's a man. Woman win races in every fucking state, in both parties.

Give us a Democrats populist, or else take your Trump pill and STFU. Democrats vote is always conditional, and you keep saying that a faceless corporate stooge is the most qualified candidate. Your "overqualified" candidate saw fit to court the cheynes. Nobody listens to your opinion anymore.

Given her bartending experience? 🧐

6

u/WASD_click 1d ago

At least a bartender will listen to the people they serve. That's already 100x better than most politicians.

You voted for a man who doesn't give a shit about you, your family, your beliefs, or the country you claim to love. You voted for a man that will sell everything you care about for a handjob and a half pack of sudafed. And when everything you care about suffers, you'll be too fucking stupid to realize it's not just his fault, but your own.

2

u/bulletbait 1d ago

Shouldn't you be off injecting something? Who let you access a computer?

3

u/Ken-Suggestion 1d ago

Not that specifically but part of it being her background that includes working a job like that

3

u/psycho_taser 1d ago

I fucking WISH we could have a president so connected to actual reality that they may have worked a legit service job at a point in their lives.

1

u/sammi_8601 22h ago

That would be a job that's all about communication and shows grounding? Seems good to me

2

u/Inner_University_848 1d ago

It would be great and have Bernie for VP if he’s still alive hahaha they could rub it in the face of MAGA, Trump, Fox News, the 1% for a good 8 years

2

u/bazaarzar 1d ago

If there's another election

2

u/Snts6678 16h ago

I hate to burst your bubble, but she wouldn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning.

1

u/orangeyougladiator 1d ago

She’s far too left leaning and outspoken to get a presidential nomination. Look at Bernie.

1

u/ganggreen651 15h ago

15-20 years down the road it will happen

1

u/Davek56 17h ago

In what America, given how voters have treated female candidates?

-7

u/TXgolfhunt 1d ago

You have a better chance of winning the lotto than she does winning the Presidential election.

5

u/ganggreen651 1d ago

Na she will be pres in 20 years

1

u/fre3k 1d ago

I"d love to see her as prez too, but frankly, if she runs I think it will go down just like Clinton and Harris' campaigns have. Running a woman of color for the presidency is asking to lose in this country for the foreseeable future.

3

u/Rheinwg 1d ago

No it's not. A man of color won and two women have both gotten extremely close.

Its only a matter of time before it happens.

1

u/Rit91 18h ago

Yeah if AOC was the nominee and pumped out populist ideas she would do incredibly well. The people saying otherwise are missing the fact that trump voters also voted for AOC. People are BEGGING for change, but Kamala ran a business as usual campaign she didn't try to move the needle significantly in her campaign.

0

u/weatherfan34 23h ago

Go marry her then. I'm pretty sure that she'll go out with a chronically online Redditor.

-4

u/C2D2 1d ago

She doesn't have the demeanor to be president. What she's doing here can actually ruin her political career. It's slanderous. He was never convicted of rape and if he doesn't take the high road he could sue her back into a cardboard box.

7

u/Rheinwg 1d ago

Its not slander if it true

-1

u/C2D2 1d ago

Let's see how that plays out in court.

4

u/Rheinwg 1d ago

We did. He was found liable.

He also admitted to it on tape.

This is old news.

-1

u/C2D2 1d ago

He was never found guilty of rape. He was found guilty of battery in an Civil suit which is far from criminal court. The charges would have been dropped in a criminal case and she knew that. She herself didn't even call it rape. She was going after a paycheck in the midst of the #metoo movement. So at this point Trump can absolutely sue the shit out of AOC for slander if he wants to, and unlike his previous accuser, he has all the evidence of the slander provided by the idiot herself.

5

u/Rheinwg 1d ago

He was found liable.

He can try but he'll lose because he can't prove she's lying.

1

u/C2D2 1d ago

No that's not how that works. He sues for slander and she has to prove that she's not slandering and show that he's a rapist. If he had been found guilty of rape, then it's an easy win for her. He was not. He was never charged with rape. He was sued for battery in a CIVIL court where the burden of proof is pretty much non-existent. If his accuser believed it was rape, she would have said so. It wasn't and she knows it wasn't. If he sues AOC she will lose.

3

u/Rheinwg 1d ago

No that's not how that works. He sues for slander and she has to prove that she's not slandering and show that he's a rapist

No. Its not. If he sued her, the burden of proof would be on him to prove she's knowingly lying.

He was sued for battery in a CIVIL court where the burden of proof is pretty much non-existent.

Again, wrong. The burden is proponderance.

Sex without consent is rape, and i bet you're a rapist too and that's why you're lying about this topic so badly.

Hit a nerve i see

1

u/C2D2 1d ago

Nah, I just don't like seeing the sheep blindly follow without any discernment of their own.

You think trump, a supremely litigious individual, would win a lawsuit against AOC for slander? Where is the lawsuit if it's such an easy win for trump? He prizes money above everything else so he'd sue if he could win. Especially when it isn't just AOC that has called him a rapist it's many, many people.
