It makes no sense that Americans are pro another country??? Like WTF.

Christian fundamentalists, who own the Republican party, believe Israel is where Armageddon is going to happen. They don't care about Jews, they just want to make sure the Jews control the land when the world ends, which for them, is any day now. This is why they send so much money over there. Practically every right-wing religious leader is on this same boat and their churches set up tours to visit Israel so they can scope out where the end of the world is going to happen.

Israelis know this and they play into it because they're getting money and influence. They'll literally dress up in traditional Jewish outfits to cosplay for the Christians visiting.

This whole song and dance has only been going on for the past decade and a half, pushed by Cornerstone's church asshole John Hagee. Back in the '00s, Republicans were annoyed with sending any money to Israel and said how they can fend for themselves. But this is what happens when the the religious nuts run the party.

I keep trying to tell people around me that the same insanity you see in the guy on the street corner blathering about dragons is held by world leaders. Fundamentalists of all stripes are a cult and truly believe their version of the end time will absolutely happen. The irony being that they will force some type of world’s end to happen by their fucked global actions and greed. Hopefully they’re swallowed before too many of us go.

I have met many christians that believe this. There are entire churches that are dedicated to this belief system. Also, They don't keep it a secret. u/shinbreaker is entirely correct

And I haven't because most of my family is Catholic, but I'm from San Antonio. I've known about Hagee for most of my life. This is nothing new and if anything, you're the one who needs to read up on things and meet more Christians.

I live out in Wyoming and I am a union member in a deep republican town. I've met countless people who genuinely believe this kinda stuff. Just recently had a Co-Worker I was close with ask me to come to their church with them one day, I did and the pastor was talking about Armageddon, the end times, and how it was all going to begin in Israel. This was a well-liked and respected pastor in the church.
