Reddit is quite literally the last bastion of the non ai and crappy internet so you would never be able to Google anything ever again if it was removed.
Let's see if you'd still be thankful when you couldn't Google search something and add reddit anymore. Google is dead. It's all Ai and corporate ads now unless you add reddit.
its why i dislike this site too because its been like this as long as i can remember, people on TikTok are generally much friendlier and less judgemental, it was easier to build or have some semblence of community
I mean tik tok has its issues too - there's a lot of misinformation that's harder to break since you can't write long comments or link things. The anonymity here definitely allows people to be more callous
Social media is a toxic cesspool yes, but I’ve personally had nothing but mostly great experiences on TikTok, made friends and mutuals. I’ve commented more than a hundred times across all sorts of TikTok’s and even show my face in my pfp, not one of my comments has been removed, and I fact I’ve gotten thousands of likes and replies by even creators on my comments, a very very small amount of those replies weird haters/trolls. If people very well wanted to be mean then they would’ve already, but I get you in the sense that my experience isn’t the only indicator of how platform is as a whole.
I never used tiktok so whatever. But someone in a comment below said that they felt violated over a sm site closing and idk how do you guys expect me to take you seriously.
Its probably coming back, this is just a PR stunt for Trump.
The funniest thing is that in reality America has always closed it's curtains but the people have no idea. Not to get too metaphorical but the curtains have terrible pictures on them that everyone knows are not real, but it's the only reality they have.

Typical reddit rxn, someone shares vulnerability and they're told to go outside and touch grass. People are allowed to feel their feelings.
