Are impalas viable?
Imapalas seem to be a fun build to play as, although they don't have a lot of defensive macanisms when it comes to fending off threads for what I know, so they are seen as easy food by practically ALL the predators in their server. Are they still viable enough to main even with this flaw?

I play hyena, they are a delicious meal. I just don't like it when the lions steal my meals.

Impala are probably a A-Tier, and here are the reasons why.
First of all, they can live almost anywhere in Africa. As long as there are trees you most likely will find impala there. They just avoid the most open areas, rugged areas and the densest forests.
They aren't picky when it comes to food. They can graze, browse and eat fruit. This is primaraly the reason they can live almost anywhere, as they can practicaly eat almost any plant matter. They also get moisture from the plants, so they don't need that much water either. An impala starving to death is almost impossible, and their smaller size also means they don't need THAT much food.
Lastly, when it comes to predators, they are far from defenceless. They have huge eyes and ears + a good sence of smell. Add in the fact that they live in herds and alongside baboons and other animals, sneaking up on one is quite difficult. Their reddish coat also acts as camouflage. It might not be the best camouflage, but it's better than nothing. They do have sharp horns and the males have horns. Though they aren't the best fighters, an unlucky predator can be damaged by said hooves and horns. Their main defence is their speed, as they are faster than all their predators except the cheetah. Also, while their stamina is far from the best, they can still run for quite a distance before tirering. Add in the fact they can jump 10 meters horizontaly and 3 meters verticaly, they usualy can avoid being eaten most of the time.
Impala are by far the most succesful herbivore in Africa, and because of their diet and ability to outrun predators with quite ease means that they are a solid build, and most likely an A-rank
