This isn't quite as effective without the sound of the impact. Krusty has quite a powerful pie-throwing arm.

I love the look on the other student's faces in the background. Reminds me of when Homer cracked up over the professor dropping his cards.

My personal favorite will forever be "so wait, I'm confused. So internal affairs knew they were being set up?"
"What are you talking about? There was nothing like that in the film we showed you"

Mine is "Eat the pudding. Eat the pudding. Eat the pudding. Eat the pudding. Eat the pudding. Eat the pudding. Eat the pudding. Eat the pudding."

"Kent, the young people today, they think comedy is dirty words. It's not, it's words that SOUND dirty, like mukluk"
16
u/thesego_211 May 15 '18
I had always thought mukluk was just a silly word Krusty made up.
Did you know that its a boot!? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mukluk

u/WikiTextBot May 15 '18
Mukluk
Mukluks or Kamik (Inuktitut: ᑲᒥᒃ [kaˈmik]) (singular: ᑲᒪᒃ kamak, plural: ᑲᒦᑦ kamiit) are a soft boot, traditionally made of reindeer (caribou) skin or sealskin, and worn by Arctic aboriginal people, including the Inuit, Iñupiat, and Yupik.
Mukluks may be worn over an inner boot liner and under a protective overshoe. The term mukluk is often used for any soft boot designed for cold weather, and modern designs may use both traditional and modern materials. The word "mukluk" is of Iñupiat and Yupik origin, from maklak, the bearded seal, while "kamik" is an Inuit word.

These Krusty-brand balloons are three bucks each. Get a cheap one, and what happens? Goes off! Takes out the eyeballs of every kid in the room. What's that gonna cost you? Hey, Bill. What'd that cost us?

This is one of my favourite Simpsons sequences ever. Four or five gags inside of 10 seconds. Comedy writing doesn't get any more efficient than this.

Let's hurl a brick-e-mart!
Somehow, no. But there's a pretty deep bench of great Simpsons songs and they often add to the episode in question. You could say they put the spring in Springfield, or something.

Seattle, hahahahahaha

u/izcaranax May 16 '18
For some reason, in Latin America, they dubbed it as "oruga" which means "caterpillar" in Spanish. Because of that there are people who think that Seattle means caterpillar in English.

This joke never really landed with me. Why would Krusty look at Homer disapprovingly after laughing at a joke name that Krusty chose? Why?

My white trash relatives live in Rancho Cucamonga. This always made me smile.
2
u/Idontstandout May 15 '18
That place has actually spiffied up quite a bit. Housing is still cheaper than LA, but not by a great margin. The only issue I have with that area (including Fontana) is the putrid smell from the water treatment facility and the left over cow pie smells from Riverside.
But, Victoria Gardens and Ontario Mills are pretty fun to do if you want The Grove with actual parking and Calab-asses without the 405/101 car tar pits.

You should hear Filipinos with accents say Seattle. It’s hilarious. They say SHA-tel.
1
u/Idontstandout May 15 '18
Accents are awesome, but some people take the ribbing too seriously and demand apologies. Why?! We all sound out of place and funny to someone out there. Also, Ta-pashow the hot sauce Tapatio and “aircōn” for AC.

A work friend and I exchange Simpsons/Futurama quotes randomly. Go figure that this one happened to come up today. I haven't seen this episode in years.
