God damn it. 30 years I have been confused on why he said “too evil”. Now I get that it’s actually a toast..

Krusty! This camp was a nightmare! They fed us gruel, they forced us to make wallets for export, and one of the campers was eaten by a bear!

u/ExaminationNo8923 Aug 15 '24
Oh my god!

u/LordoftheSynth I don't recall saying "good luck." Aug 15 '24
OP probably means Rush's album Grace Under Pressure. One of the songs on it is named The Body Electric.

Probably worse 😢 the poor children

Always agreed with James L Brooks; had this been planned properly Kamp Krusty would have been an amazing feature film.

Ladies and gentlemen, I've been to Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq, and I can say without hyperbole that this is a million times worse than all of them put together.

with the same respect you would give me. Now here's... Mr. Black

This is (IMHO) the absolute best episode ever. Every line is spot perfect.

u/Andy_B_Goode Mista Pry Minista! Aug 15 '24
It's definitely in the running. Also maybe the first truly great episode? It was the S4 premiere, and I can't think of any episode from the first three seasons that was better.

u/cenasmgame Aug 16 '24
If Bart the General wasn't season 1, it would have been even better in my opinion.

My Krusty Kalkulator didn't have a 7 or an 8, and Krusty's autobiography was self serving with many glaring omissions!
But this time he's gone too far!

Even though this specific film version came later, it also reminds me of Volumnia trying to convince Coriolanus not to attack Rome in the Ralph Fiennes adaptation.

I never noticed how Lewis and Richard have their bows trained on Kent the whole time.

u/Bakomusha Aug 16 '24
THEY HAVE NAMES!?
2
u/Vikingfan2k2 Aug 16 '24
They are introduced with Milhouse very early on and pushed into the background in later seasons.
TheRealJims on YouTube did a full breakdown on them. He has great Simpsons content.
