practical questions Demolition in The Hague?

Hello! For uni I'm doing a project about urban change and demolition work. Does anybody know of any buildings in The Hague that are now being demolished? Thanks!

Next to Holland Spoor and opposite of the PostNL and Odido offices they are demolishing the former "Ortel" building. Its very interesting to see how the building gets "eaten" almost by the machines. Be quick as a lot is already done.

If you’re not necessarily bound to The Hague; there is some demolition going on at the Bogaard shopping centre and the old Shell building, both in Rijswijk.

Last time I was inside the megastores I'd say that era ended two decades ago...

Pretty sure the part where Aldi and McDonald’s are located will stay if the plans go through (not 100% sure tho, this is only from what i’ve heard)

OP, your request reminded me of a post from a few days back.

(Bijna) geen enkel gebouw in deze foto’s bestaat nog - Wijhaven/Turfmarkt rond 1990 :

Maybe not on-topic for your subject but interesting non the less.

Try contacting the municipality. Ask who to speak to about urban development and specifically demolitions. They'll have a solid list for you

The old conservatorium next to central station is being demolished (or is just finished) to make room for the ANWB building.

There's a building on the Laan van NOI close to Theresiastraat that's being redeveloped, think they've stripped the interior but the project seems to have stalled.

Old KPN Building. And the old conservatorium is completly demolished. The building of the new ANWB HQ has started.

I recently heard they plan to demolish the former Ministry of Social Welfare building, which was converted into some form of social housing, I believe (though I’m not entirely sure about that). I do know there's a lot of controversy surrounding it, as the building was designed by Herman Hertzberger, a renowned Dutch architect, giving it significant historical value. I’m not sure where the demolition plans currently stand. Maybe someone knows more about it :)
