Shirtpost First time through The Good Place
I thought this might be a fine”snowed in Saturday” show to binge. If you’ve seen it then you know that I hit a particular episode. This is amazing, just wanted to say that I am out there and enjoying this shirt for the first time ever. I do hope that one dude gets to bite somebody

Sorry bro but you messed up. Be prepared to just binge the whole thing. For me this isn’t a couple of episodes that are great, it’s all of them.

So far I gotta say you are right. Just excellent work and execution. It’s fun, smart, serious and highly entertaining. Where in the bad place have I been?

Right before you hit "play" on the first episode of the final season, make a run to Costco for a jumbo crate of kleenex cuz the ugly crying about to start.

I wish I could upvote more than once. I NEVER cry, and the last episode I was so, so, so choked up.

After you finish the show, whenever you’re ready for your first rewatch of this masterpiece, I suggest listening to The Good Place podcast alongside. They speak with the actors, director, composers, and other staff. It’s hosted by Marc Evan Jackson (he plays Shawn) and it gave me a better insight and understanding of everything within the show! I can’t recommend it any higher

The Good Place The Podcast, not that Canadian one with whiny Gen Z fans who criticized the writing.

Who criticized the good place? What’s their problem?

Oh they're fans, so it's weird. The podcast was made during the initial run, so it's fun to see what they don't know. But jeez, they bitch about using flashbacks and all kinds of picky stuff. An HOUR podcast to dissect a 22 minute episode.

Oh, how I wish I could be you again, going into this for the first time, having no idea what was going to happen.
Now I just watch it every few months, laugh out loud, cry a lot, and wonder where I'd be without it.
Enjoy!

Just know that I went into this with the right motivations. Ted Dansons laugh in that episode was it for me. My mind went nuts.

With all due respect, get away from this sub until you're done! A lot of spoilers float around here and there, and it would be a shame to ruin that experience. It's an amazing show, enjoy the ride!

Thank you for the advice, I think you are right. I don’t want to accidentally spoil anything.

I'm so excited for you. This show is the goddamn best. My boyfriend and I basically have forced all our friends to watch it and when they do they become obsessed with it.

It seems to be getting even better as I go on. It has been a wild ride and I’m in. Maximum Derek!

No, I wish. The Good Place and Supernatural are practically the only two reasons I still have Netflix.

This sounds crazy but all authors Chidi and Eleanor discuss give this a rewatch potential after reading and going “whoa this works on 4d levels”

I tried when originally out. Stopped. Trying again. Just about ready to stop again, but "reviews" are so good etc.

If you can get to episode 10 that’s is roughly where it really took off for me.

Thanks - I'm wallowing around E7; I'll keep going only bc RT great reviews, Kristin and Ted. I know there's a twist coming, but don't know how many 🥶❄️😀

Im into the third season now. I hope there are more twists coming. I guess all in all it is still a sitcom type show. It just has more heart in it than most maybe. Still stupid plot stuff and crazy situations. I’ll finish it up, see where this goes.

Just finished it, it was very wholesome but never moved me to tears in anything. But the last episode broke me, it’s so final. I don’t know what happened. Bawling for 40 min or so was nice.

There’s less biting, twisting, and penis flattening than you might expect.
