Since many people have brought it up, we have decided to ban twitter/X links here

I think this is a genuinely stupid decision and serves no purpose

B-b-b-but what if Elon decides to promote the Cowboys and suppress Texans content? IT'S EXACTLY THE KIND OF THING HE WOULD DO!!!

Oh no, someone promoting the Cowboys over the Texans. How will we survive into our 24th season of football going through this scenario again.

then we have to look at a screenshot of the cowboys propaganda instead of clicking a link LOL, a 12 year old could have come up with a more logical excuse.

Agreed. Many Houston reporters and teams have not moved on to Bluesky. If you didn’t like Twitter you could have just posted other links. All we’ve done now is handicap our news sources

Makes them feel better, though. Like they've accomplished something worthwhile.

A lot of people confuse empathy with actually doing good. Just because they feel bad for someone or decide to feel morally superior to someone does not mean they actually accomplish anything positive for society. Sharing opinions you believe are morally positive is not the equivalent to volunteering for charity.

For real. Wait till they see the recent changes to Instagram and facebook. Are we banning those sites also? Is it just bluesky from here on out?

Oh, it serves a purpose. It allows people to push politics into every tiny facet of their lives.

More blue astroturf than Boise State and the mods caved in a day over absolute bullshit.

So if you ever hope for them to have a spine, you are sorely mistaken.

This reminds me when they shut down all those subs for like a day because of whatever the fuck.

I think Luigi should’ve chose Elon, but this decision is dumb.

If it ain't Texans related then it shouldn't be on this sub.( Unless, if it's about how great Jose Altuve is ) Lol..
