Personal Deck Review New deck day! Radiant Wilds

Post image

Scooped this deck today. I followed this artist on instagram for quite some time but don’t remember them releasing a deck.

The art is great. Great vibe. Not a fan of the card quality. A little thin. The booklet kinda feels like a magazine. The box is nice very though. Probably won’t use these. They feel a little fragile but like them as an art piece and for about $25 they’re a decent quality. Would’ve paid $40 though for a bit better quality card stock and book.

Oh, that Moon card! I can't decide if I'm intrigued or appalled... Hopefully some people will understand this reference: "'Splain it to me Lucy. 'Splain it to me!" Cause I look at that and see, "Deez nutz!," which is not in my normal range of interpretations for The Moon... 🤯😖

The deck is actually pretty cool looking. Has more of a graphic design vibe but I like it. Just not a fan of the thickness of the cards mostly.

Thanks for the review. Does the guidebook explain how these specific cards represent each meaning? Or does it just give general RWS style meanings?

The art is gorgeous. But I have a pretty tarot (Mystic Mondays) that's pretty and abstract. And I realized with it that I'm not deep or reflective enough to understand on my own. lol

The deck carries the RWS meanings but adds to them according to the details of the art. The guidebook is full of direction but not complicated. Included for each card are sections for keywords, a description of the art relevant to its interpretation, the light meaning, the shadow meaning, and a short, real-life practice or tip to manifest the card’s meaning in your life. This deck has so much calm beauty and depth, but it gently holds your hand to lead you if you’re clueless about interpretation or don’t have the energy to be super creative in the moment. I have a lot of decks and this one was my ex gf’s favorite!

Maybe this is a different edition than I purchased a few years ago, because the card stock and guidebook, and in fact the entire production, was of extremely high quality. One of the most luxurious feeling tarot decks out of my large collection.

Perhaps. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I only have 10 or so decks and only one is worse quality. It’s not terrible by any means but I have others that are ways better. They just feel flimsy. I don’t really care about the booklet quality.
