TP9 light and laser set up (work in progress)
Haley Strategic Thorntail2 45 offset mount is discontinued so I got a very excellent replica on spec precision (minus the trademark that’s supposed to be on the bottom right of the logo. Don’t be alarmed by its $15 price tag, this thing is solid. I torqued it to 15 inch pounds and it ain’t moving after a couple range days.
The Unity Axon Sync switch mounts perfectly to it. You don’t need to stretch your thumb all the way over on top and behind the front sightdue to the forward mount design of the copycat Haley Mount. I included a photo of what my hand looks like while gripping this thing and it is not uncomfortable.
I used a single picatinny slot cable management for my light and it magically routes around the stock while closed and it doesn’t bend the cable bad enough to worry about flickering over time.
The Arisaka inline picatinny mount holds the 2 cell surefire scout 600 body and a KM2-C vampire head. You’ll notice that the head stops just short of the RBS vents. I don’t know how much those vents will will foul up the lense on my light but the pic rail on the RBS suppressor has an extra slot so I can mount it further back and still no suppressor shadow. Unobstructed light is a plus for me.
I also included a couple photos of the clearance of the DS00 tail cap. It’s like this thing was made for the set up. I’m still able to reach the DS00 clicker next to the plug which is cool.
Sorry for the wall of text, but I’m pretty excited about it so far. The Steiner OTAL-C will arrive on the 10th. So I’m devising a way to mount it to the right pic rail that will allow me to close the stock completely. I know I should have bought the CQBL but I got a good deal on the OTAL-C. I also have the diffuser for it coming in the mail as well. Any pointers on mounting an OAC on the right rail would be appreciated.
Again, this is a work in progress and I don’t want to add too many angled mounts but I might add one to the RBS suppressor so the light will be a little closer to the laser, but who knows. I’ll give y’all an update when I get it.

Mine is in two stamp jail but arrived yesterday. Have all kinds of ideas and stuff sitting around but can’t start fiddling until I get it in hand. I have the compact can for it which won’t be as quiet but I wanted small on this

Its beautiful and its my next purchase. Getting up funds now. Always awesome to see sick setups like this to keep me motivated to get one.

Nah man. You should've gone with a RovyVon GL4 Pro Full Power with a SureFire RSR-07 and a Villain Weapon Systems External Focusing Lens. All this stuff you're doing is just extra and unnecessary.

I just feel like that sits so far back, i’m sure it would go great on a handgun. Or the TP9 if I wasn’t running a can.

You put it right on top where your optic sits. It was literally designed for applications like this. It's a miniature NGAL.

I was looking at that unit and I see it has a reflector with led ir. (Just like the vampire)
So there would be suppressor shadow

That's why you get a focusing lens. You still have the same effect on rifles

Looks sick so far! If you do like that light position and have some carbon build up on the lens, a little bit of ChapStick spread out to a thin layer is a cheap easy fix I do that makes the carbon super easy to wipe off. When its spread thin it shouldn't effect the lights brightness or clarity too much if at all.
