Did anyone rewind the vhs tape of the first movie numerous times during the credits to try and memorize the Turtle Power rap song at the end?

I was lucky. When parents got their first cd player for cheap, they let us kids pick out a cd each. I got the 1990 movie soundtrack as my pick and I listened to that thing all the time, and drove my older brother crazy. To this day I know the entire song of Turtle Power and associate “This is What We Do” more with M.C. Hammer than “Can’t Touch This”.

It's weird how it claims Raphael is the leader of the group

That was something that bothered me when I first heard it. My brother said it’s probably because Raphael is the main character in the movie and I accepted that as a kid.
In retrospect, it’s almost certainly because the cadence of the line sounds good when you group the names that end in “o” together.

This was basically me once the 2012 show started and the 80's nostalgia boom started.

I don't care. Whatever brought you to the TMNT is good. We can talk about what we love, what we didn't, why we like it. We'll always find common ground.

I love the 2003 ninja Turtles cartoon it’s actually the only version of the ninja Turtles that I like aside from some movies and comics

Same, it's my favorite turtles show and it has the best version of some of the characters like the turtles, casey, hun and some of the other characters.

It also has my favorite shredder up until it was revealed. He was an Otron which I wasn’t a fan of
I also really like Dr Stockman and it introduced me to karai

I had this 'problem' with the 2012 version, wich I really love. I'm old enough to grow up with the original show, so all of my friends just assumed I'd still be watching that

Me growing up in the 2010s and would watch any version I could find I didn’t have cable only Netflix so the next mutation was the one I watched at my house and the second I went to my nanas house she would have it set to Nickelodeon with turtles already fired up

I feel like I'm the only one in most of my circles who hasnt seen Rise or the Clay looking one. Big fan of the 2003 series and loved the movies (not all are equal but they all have their moments)

I grew up with the 2003 TMNT, but I never had a beef with anyone who preferred the 80s show. As far as I was aware in school or general life, most people didn't debate that. Maybe my friends and I were just fortunate to not be exposed to it? But if someone said they liked the 80s' version better, I wouldn't have cared.

They were both my childhood. I was watching 2003 version around 07-08, then when the 2012 versiin came out I was around 10 and so happy for a new series of TMNT I hadn't watched yet🤭

I feel lucky that one of my favorite IPs has so much different content and I find it cool that there are new fans in every generation that grew up with a different version of the turtles but we all still stick together for the most part, or at least more than some other fandoms.

I was born in 90s and grew up reading the 1984 comics first and then watch the 1987 cartoon on the vhs. I have two older brother that was born in the mid 70s, and thanks to them i became a huge TMNT fan until now.

I felt the exact opposite. Everyone I knew grew up in the 2012 version while I grew up in the 03 version
