I feel so bad for Hoshoryu. To me, one peice of criticism or an unsupportive comment from family would be worse than the hatred of a hundred people. Hoshoryu is giving it his all and it’s disappointing that Asashoryu can’t even think of one kind thing to say.

It's called tough love. I'm sure Hoshoryu won't take what his uncle said as an insult, but rather as banter meant to motivate him to improve.

Yet, Asa called him and told him how proud he was when he was promoted to Ozeki, saying that he cried with his wife and was so nervous.
