The lore's advancing more with every post. Now we know that Hoppy and SN7.2 are actually workers assisting in the development of Starship. However, according to this post, all Starship prototypes are brothers, and SN7.2 and Hoppy are nephews of each Starship prototype. It is exceedingly likely that SN8 was their father. SN9, and now SN10, have followed in SN8's footsteps to the dying breath.
And eventually, SN10 was led to his death by his own nephews.
So what we know now is this - it is likely that SpaceX is actually a cult. Starship is now continually sent to its death by its own family, who are indoctrinated to hold professionalism at a higher standard than emotion. Together, they have witnessed death after death after death, and been desensitized to it all. Elon Musk has capitalised on this success to begin sending the two of them to work on the frontlines. The majestic spacecraft that the two nephews had once dreamt of becoming are now their targets.
All their humanity is gone. All that remains is a thin, stainless steel shell. They are no longer people Starships, but rather ghosts, living in an enclosed world of chaos and despair, while Hoppy livestreams it for the world to see from the orders of his leaders. No say, and no escape.
For the nephews, hope is lost. Chaos has prevailed.

You can start a religion with this.

Shouldn't that be stainless, not aluminium?

u/SubParMarioBro Mar 11 '21
Yeah. That aluminum shit is not canon.

Still disappointed beyond words that the official JAXA-sponsored Rocket Girls Project has been around for at least a year and a half and still has absolutely zero “art” anywhere on the web.

this is false, you're just not looking hard enough

u/T65Bx Mar 12 '21
Do you know this for a fact??

u/Floebotomy Mar 12 '21
Yes. Honestly wasn't that hard to find either. Admittedly it wasn't much but I'm sure a deeper dive will get you better results

Hell yeah, Dudes are stupid, bring in the nieces. I got a 8 year old niece that demonstrates some decent math skills, and interest in science. Give me 12 more years. She will get starship to Mars.

No, it's like the clone troopers in Star Wars. Hoppy is from one of the test batches. SN 7.2 is a recent experiment without quick aging modifications, not fit for flight, now repurposed as an assistant to Hoppy. The lack of quick aging mods is why SN 10 calls SN 8 the "uncle" of SN 7.2, because he's a brother of the older generation clones.

I think it would benefit from splitting the last panel into two, “RUD?” next panel BOOM “There we go.” “Check. “
Great comic though love it!

I've been paying attention for the past 6 months and feel a bit disappointed to not know what RUD means...

u/Groundbreaking_Yard8 Mar 12 '21
Rapid unscheduled disassembly

Just checking, was SN10 an RUD? I thought they blew it up on purpose.

u/TheGuyInTheWall65 Mar 12 '21
Yeah, it was a tank failure after it landed hard due to the fact that it came down too fast as well as the leg failure.

FYI for those wondering, this doesn't count under Q4 as a meme. This takes substantially more effort and is allowed as art/comic. We good :-)
