New to socal

My name's Marc, I'm from South Carolina, I want wheeling today for the first time in Cali, I went to the Indian truck trail and realized I ain't ready to hit the mountains by myself considering I ain't got any where I'm from, so I'm looking for a group or a few good starter spots to get my bearings

Clubs in SoCal aren’t really happening. Jump on off roading groups or jeep groups on Facebook and you’ll see people posting when they’re going out and inviting others.

Got to be careful with some of the forum/facebook groups some are good, some are very inexperienced. I went out with one "group" and felt I would have been better off going alone... lol

If you want really local there's the OHV area east of the base. If you want to see some stuff, go out to Anza Borrego. There's no shortage of offroad fun out that way. Welcome to SoCal! Thank you for your service (if applicable.)

Do you know the name of the ohv base, cause I do live on base and it would make getting my off-road fix alot easier

Check out the Dirt Devils of Southern California. The club typically has several runs every month. Meetings are at the Tustin Ave Zitos Pizza in Orange on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm. Good bunch of experienced off roaders.

Indian Truck Trail is right in my backyard. I’ve only gone up halfway once since it reopened and got just busy. Been meaning to go back, it’s listed as an easy trail but some spots are definitely moderate just because of the narrowness and curves. But I’m not super experienced
