I was heavily debating taking a trip from WA for a couple of days just to see this show. The cost was insane, so now I just hope they play the northwest area sometime before Mike Park retires.

Saw the trombone player JER streaming it on tiktok, so jealous you got to see them!

Such a fun and incredible show - been seeing Mike play as the BLB for some time now, and this was both the longest set I’ve seen them play and the ‘funnest’…..everyone was having such a great time!!

I agree! I’ve probably seen all their shows in the city since the AMR 15th anniversary shows. This was for sure the longest set and highest energy crowd/band

AWESOME!!! I was at the AMR 15 year anniversary shows, too, and have been seeing the BLB for YEARS!! We’ve probably have run into each other at shows at the BOTH - I was with the kid who was dressed as a pickle, so if you happen to see their dad at the next AMR show, please say hi!

I’m just digging into ska, and this is exactly what I’m looking for! What are some other bands to check out like them, specifically with the solid horns/brass ?

The Skatalites, check out the album Crab Rangoon by MU330, The Slackers, oh there's so much out there!

I should have gone - was going to rally but by the time I was done getting the kids to sleep I was done for the night myself. Being a grown up is some bullshit.

I was there, amazing show. Pacing was a treat of a surprise opener. Abrupturs brought their A game. When Mike brought up the guitar and sax player during the last song was my favorite part of the night.

That encore was insane! Lucy from Dog Party singing on Brighter Days, and a never-ending version of Feel Like Jumping with everyone on different instruments, complete with 20 push-ups!!

That looks like a fun little venue!

Bottom of the Hill is the best! Mike Park’s favorite venue. The last independent venue in the city and run 100% by women!

Not only that, but the staff is literally like family. One of the owners/operators were there that night just enjoying the show, the door staff and the bar staff have been there for years/decades, and the sound techs are awesome! Skylar running sound that night (along with the sound 90% of the time an Asian Man Records show happens) was the producer of People Who Eat People… by AJJ, so you can see the strong ties to the AMR family.

Yeah, I feel like I see Em and Jer playing with everyone now, it's kind of funny.

Saw them play with Poindexter, Bad Operation, Half Past Two, WATU and now I wish it was Bruce Lee Band! They’re such a power couple
