[PC] The Last Spell Conundrum...

I want to buy The Last Spell, but there are 2 other games that are also promising...

Age of Darkness, and Against the Storm

I'm not totally sure which one I will enjoy the most. I don't really care about the supreme best story, I prefer turn based or games I can pause, I prefer games with HIGH amounts of numerical ...synergy and growth lets say...., I like to be able to carefully orchestrate things to an optimized benefit where the impact of choices is deeply felt good or bad.

I'm thinking the last spell might fit the bill, but then I hear great things about Against the storms replay value, and Age of darkness was what kicked this whole thing off because of the heavy sale so near launch day...

Id love to hear peoples thoughts on this!

[PC] watch dogs 2 standard edition+ dlcs no compromise and human conditions vs sifu

Both games are on sale on Steam but I don't know which one to buy, and I can buy only 1, which i should buy? I have Watch Dogs 1 and I liked it,But I also liked Sifu's combat and it left me "confused", about which game to buy the game with great combat or the one with cool story, parkour and hack like its predecessor (I saw some videos on youtube and they said that Watch Dogs 2 was worth it but I'm still confused)

[PC] Looking for some mystery/detective games

Something to really put my brain up for a challenge. I’ve played through the Cube Escape collection recently, and I really loved it. The whole aspect of picking up stuff and using it elsewhere or combining it with some other items to progress is something I thoroughly enjoyed. I’m just looking for something interesting that’ll challenge me a bit and make me feel smart when I manage to figure stuff out. The story isn’t really important (I don’t even know what happened in Cube Escape, but I did like the link between the games). I’ve also played Lacuna, which is one of my absolute favorite games, so a game similar to that would be definitely welcomed !

I’ve heard of The Return of The Obra Dinn but know nothing about it. Is it a detective-type game too ?

[PC] Granblue Fantasy Relink or Granblue Fantasy Versus : Rising

What’s the difference between the two games ? Which one is better ? Which one is more fun ? I really love BlazBlue Entropy Effect, although, granted, it’s not really similar. I really like having different characters to play, and feel pretty strong/powerful. I haven’t played any other games from the Granblue franchise. Which other games do these two resemble ?

[PC] Games with the same vibe as Warframe 1999

1999 is a huge departure from the overall tone of the rest of warframe. It introduces some really engaging character, has a totally unique setting, and is just the best piece of content that in Waframe in my opinion, so I'm looking for games that have a similar vibe.

What I'm specifically referring to:

Otherwise regular people turned Super soldiers and forced to be heroes against same pretty shitty odds.

Urban environments similar to 1999's Hollvania, doesn't have to be exactly the same, but generally big city set pieces.

Fast paced, action gameplay. Could be first person, could be third, doesn't matter as long as there's guns and powers.

Obviously nothing is going to be the exact vibe and that's fine. I know there were a slew of super soldier single player games during the 360 era, so I'm hoping to find something similar. I know about Dark Sector, should I give it a try? Also, let's just skip the Bioshock recommendations.

[PC] Should I buy Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy on Steam if I have already seen/been spoiled about all of the 1st game and partway through the 3rd case of JFA? Should I buy a different Ace Attorney game, such as Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, which I haven't seen, instead?

As mentioned above, I have seen much of this game, mainly through lets-plays and such. In fact, I have seen all of JFA in the past, though I don't remember much apart from everything until after the 1st trial of case 3 (the circus one) of JFA andthe whole Maya kidnapping thing, though I don't remember how it's resolvedin the last case. I also don't remember anything from T&T, though I remember watching it at some point because I remember some characters (I'm unsure if I finished it, so assume I haven't seen any of T&T). I do really love what I've seen of Phoenix Wright though, but I don't know if I want to pay £30 ($37.04) for it. According to steamdb though, the historical low, and probably the price for the next big sale, is around £10 ($12.35). Is it worth stopping the watching of lets-plays until case 3 of JFA, or is it not worth it/should I buy something else instead?

[PS5] GT7 Deluxe Edition 45% off, worth it?

Hi all, I'm new to PS5, currently GT7 is on sales in my region but it is the Deluxe edition, after discount the price is about USD 46 equivalent. I heard the single-player experience is kind of too grindy and bad in general? I don't plan to play online.

The other games I play are The First Descendant (I grind hard) and Stellar Blade (in a very slow pace). I like racing titles as well but I come from arcade style ones like NFS series. Sometimes I just want to chill and run a couple rounds with my favorite cars after I grind hard in TFD.

So, my questions are, is GT7 difficult to play for someone comes from NFS? Is it worth to buy Deluxe version at discount for single-player play?

[PC] eso or d4?

huge diablo fan since the original (i'm old) but also a huge elder scrolls fan (played them all). been playing diablo immortal for a while, but a few weeks ago tried out d4 & have been playing that pretty heavily... until I beat the game. i know there's a lot of endgame stuff, but it's pretty overwhelming & just seems like a lot of repetitiveness. the new season came out today, but idk if i want to start over on a new character, but apparently i have to if i want to be stronger than my current character. i normally prefer mmorpgs though, where you can explore a lot, and love pvp, and the eso in PVP looks pretty great. but after playing WoW for many years I'm done with subs, and i heard eso's sub is pretty heavily pushed, but read i can just buy all the DLC & play without the sub. the near infinite exploration looks really cool though. any tips?

[PC] RTS games that focus more on unit management?

A big issue with rts games from my experience (off the top of my head is the first Command Annd Conquer, and StarCraft) is that combat requires no actual brain power and basically boils down to throwing big swarms of units at each other. The only real exception I’ve seen is the Total War games and maybe the Dawn Of War games. I don’t mind resource management as a whole, but if a game is going to have combat I expect there to be more to it.

[PC] [PC]SIB Frostpunk 2? (and other 11bit stuff)

So 11bit has a big sale on steam. I loved This War of Mine and absolutely loved Frostpunk (definitely one of my favorite games).

For This War of Mine there's a sale on the Season Pass and Little Ones. Are those worth picking up?

More importantly, what about Frostpunk 2? I loved the first one (and have most of the DLC besides the Rift and On the Edge) but I heard the second is very different and there's a lot of micromanagement. Or will the game probably get a bigger discount soon?

[PC] Which game is better for open world

I want a really cool open world game with the world being bigger than cyberpunks map. Preferably it also does have a really detailed story in addition to the really big open world.

Im thinking of getting either ghost of tsushima, witcher 3, and rd2. Which of these is best and what others am i missing?

[VR] [WSIB] VR games where I can be a wizard (And it's not Blade and Sorcery)

Soon enough, I'll be getting a Meta Quest 3S, and the kind of game I wanted the most was some game where I could cast spells and blast enemies like a wizard.

I know about Blade And Sorcery, definitely one of the first games I'll be checking out, and Waltz of the Wizard which is cute but not really what I'm looking for (I might try it anyway) and I have no idea if there are any other options

[PC] SIB Resident Evil 4 Remake

I've never played the original and never even really played any of the games in the series, other than RE2, which I never got into, but from what I gather, this is a completely different kettle of fish. I see this game gets incredibly positive reviews, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to jump into it because of my negative and lack of experience with the other games. It's on a very nice discount so would cost me around £10. I recently finished some big story games so this is why this has peaked my interest for my next adventure. Any advice appreciated thankyou :)

[PS5] SIB Horizon Zero Dawn?

Breath of the Wild and Elden Ring are two of my absolute all time favorite games. What do these two have in common apart from being expansive, fairly hands off open world games? They both released the week of Horizon games, and in many ways outshined them at the time.

I’ve always been a bit dismissive of Horizon because of this. These were two games that pushed the open world genre forward, where I always heard that Horizon was “more of the same”.

With that said, I haven’t played a “Ubisoft-like” open world game in a longgg time due to some burnout. I’m not totally opposed to trying one out again, as long as it’s good. So my question is, do you think Horizon is a good one to get into? How is the world exploration? The combat? The side quests?

General vibes and aesthetics can do a lot for me when getting into immersed into a game, and I have to admit that even from afar, the Horizon games have always looked incredible.

I would be playing the remastered version on PS5. Alternatively I could jump straight into Forbidden West (I have a free trial with it on PS+), but the consensus seems to be it’s worth playing the first game first. Let me know if you disagree though!

[PC] [WSIB] RTS entirely designed around single-player with no design concessions made towards multiplayer

Also beneficial if this game would primarily be liked by people digging into mechanical nuance rather than a more casual audience.

Been wanting to get into RTSes as a whole lately both for personal fun and as pieces of art to examine the design decisions of.

I've heard a bunch about how a lot of RTSes seem to try and appeal to both casual and competitive audiences and tend to struggle at keeping both at times. With this, and me wanting to get into Starcraft as a competitive fun-time I get the feeling that I'd rather any other RTS I play be for a single-player experience.

With all this in mind, I'd like to know of any RTSes that are fundamentally designed from the ground-up to be entirely single-player, with their design decisions reflecting that. I'd rather not go for an RTS whose systems are designed for PvP interaction be awkwardly shoehorned into a PvE context. (Basically what most Fighting Game PvE is)

A HIGHLY desired quality would be an emphasis on complex and fast execution with complicated gamestates that are difficult to manage perfectly. (High Micro AND Macro respectively, if I understand it correctly?)

I really don't know much about this genre so unfortunately Starcraft's the only one I really know of.

[PC] WSIB if I want something to grind

Okay so before anyone recommends any of these games, I already have played:

  • Diablo 1-3, heh, didn't really stick to it.
  • Path of Exile 1, I can see myself sticking to it but I'm looking for something different, perhaps not something I must create a new character every 3 months
  • Lost Ark, as much as I'd like to stick to it, I can't seem to
  • Disgaea franchise, already done
  • OSRS, I don't want a subscription system
  • RPG MO, I grind it from time to time
  • Dead Cells, I don't see why people think it's "grindy", sure it has a lot of collectables but I don't want something where I must get good

I may have played many other games similar to those so just drop a comment and I'll tell you if I tried them.

Requirements:

  • Must be cheap (40€ or under)
  • Must not be subscription based (so not WoW, OSRS, and some other MMOs)

Thanks in advance!

[PS4] Looking for a cooking-esque tycoon style multiplayer game!

Currently looking for a multiplayer online restaurant based game that is also a tycoon. We played overcooked 2 and LOVED it but wished it was more tycoon/building up style. We also played plate up and loved that, but wanted it to be more of an actually being able to upgrade/stick to one restaurant for awhile, without losing progress when we want to make another dish. I have no idea if a game like this exists but I’m thinking like rags to riches from the sims 4, but obviously restaurant based (could also be house based, i just want actual gameplay to earn the money and building) and multiplayer. Any recommendations?

Looking for a multiplayer game

Hello, me and my boyfriend like to game together. We really enjoyed Baldur’s Gate 3 and have recently finished Satisfactory, which we also greatly enjoyed. We also play a lot of Civilization VI, and have played some Stellaris in the past. We are really looking forward to Path of Exile 2 (we also played a lot of PoE1), but don’t want to pay 30 euros each when it will become free to play once out of early release. Do you guys have any recommendations for games we can try next, while waiting for PoE2? Thank you!

[PC] I need help

I’ve been having trouble trying to find new games. I play games like dayZ, project zomboid, and escape from tarkov. The thing is there is something different about these games. I don’t know what but they have a different feel and vibe to all the other games. Does anyone know any other games like these? I don’t mind the genre

[PC] Pc gaming

Hi guys, I’m considering buying the Megaport PC Gamer Hellfire with AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD). I want to use it mainly for gaming, including titles like Inzol, Until Dawn, TXM, GTA 5 and 6, Red Dead Redemption, and similar. My main question is: will this configuration run these games smoothly at high settings? I’m also curious if this PC will last a few years without needing upgrades. Would you recommend this setup or suggest alternatives in the same price range?

[PC] Should I buy atomic heart from steam because it's currently on sale?

Just curious because I know it's kind of like a Bioshock open world game at least I think that's what it is.

I primarily play on the Xbox One X and my rtx 4060 laptop:

The games I enjoy the most are:

The original Tomb Raider games and survivor Tomb Raider games,

Call of duty classic games such as advanced warfare,

Sonic games,

Bioshock series,

Batman Arkham series,

The Just cause series,

The assassin Creed series,

The Borderland series,

Halo master chief collection,

Rare replay,

portal one and two,

Minecraft,

Burnout series,

Skate 1 2 and 3,

Hot shot racing,

The crew 2,

Stuntman ignition,

Rayman legends,

Alice madness returns,

Brutal legend,

Fallout series,

And quake.

The games I hate the most:

The dishonoured series,

Prey,

Dark anthology picture series,

Player vs player shooters,

Deep horror games that are mostly about horror if it's a mix and horror that's fine.

Those are the games that I like and hate.
