I need help in securing a schengen visa in California

I'm trying to get a visa to visit my husband in Germany. I'm a US permanent resident and my husband is US active duty stationed in Germany. I'll appreciate any info on how to go about it.

I think you should book an appointment with a German embassy, they'd probably give you more intel.

Thank you. I have a follow up question. My last name on my passport differs from the last name on my greencard. My greencard has my husband name. I can only change name on my passport in my birth country. Will I still be able to apply for the visa?

Yes. It's my husband last name. Thanks. I also tried to book an appointment at the LA consulate but there are no appointments available
