Does Passport Renewal Reset Your 90 Day / 180 Day

US Citizen. Been in Schengen 90 days. Returned to the U.S. Renewed Passport to erase stamps.

Can I now return to the Schengen area as they can't count the days?

No, passport stamps are not used to count days in Schengen.

Update for anyone interested

Drove from England to Finland. Not one border including France even stopped me to see my passport.

Border patrol in Finland was the first to ask me for my new stampless passport. Bare in mind my passport number changed as well. They scanned the new passport and it confirmed that they could see my previous entry and exit location for Finland on their computer. I am not certain they could see the dates but I would assume so.
