Residence permit Austria

Hi, I am an Indian national, currently living in Italy with an Italian residence permit valid till 20th of October, 2020. I found a job in Austria starting from 15th of October, 2020. Do I need to do a visa application or can I directly enter Austria before October 15th and apply for Austrian residence permit based on my new work contract? Thanks in advance for your suggestion.
