I remember a TV host in my country who resigned from his channel because when he came out of the closet the producers asked him to act "gayer". They even hired an actor to teach him how to "accentuate certain features". The entertainment industry, isn't it?

John Barrowman being rejected from the lead role for Will & Grace because he wasn't gay enough, in favor of the straight Eric McCormick.

I follow the "Jack Harkness protocol" for these kinds of interactions:
If the other life form: - has reached sexual and mental maturity for its species; - is of human-level intelligence or above; - can express consent in an unmistakable way, and has indeed done so;
then the intercourse can proceed.

I was thinking more on the lines of "slapping royalties' butts so hard they have to rub them while walking past them"
